Seller has been told this is worth quite a bit ($25k). I’m less sure about that evaluation. I see nothing to suggest it is a 1941 FORD GP.

“1941 Ford Jeep; was an MP Jeep tricked out by the army Corp of engineers. Rebuilt 2000 miles ago by Max-Bilt. Looking to trade for older FJ, $15000 to $20000 or best offer. The photos below are snapshots from the above video. They resemble the jeep shown below that was built by Wayne K. Pike. It was built by members of the 9th Service Squadron at the 13th Army Air Base on the island of Moratai. Note that it has a chrome/stainless trim strip absent from the car featured in the Popular Mechanics article below.

“Note: This Jeep does not have a title.  It will be sold with a bill of sale only based on engine number – MD 65930.  Don’t read any further if you can’t deal with buying it on a bill of sale only.  Getting a title is possible through a title company or through the DMV in your state once you purchase it depending on the laws in your state.

Offered for sale is a one-of-a-kind clone of the infamous Willys 1950 X-98 prototype.  This type jeep was never mass produced as it was a transitional jeep Willys proposed in1950 with new hood lines to accommodate the overhead valve F-Head engine.  Only a handful of originals were built with no known survivors.  This project was completed in 2023 and was recently featured in the Fall 2023 edition of “The Dispatcher” Magazine.  I built this jeep based on the work of Bob Westerman who also recreated this missing link in early jeep evolution – our two are the only two working models known to exist today. “Done up as a “army prop”. Has a military hood but it is a Civillian Jeep. Clean Tennesee Title 4cyl Motor is unknown. Frame has rust on front crossmember near steering linkage. Transmission doesn’t seem to shift at all. Trans crossmember is out of it. This is a TOTAL PROJECT that does not run, stop or steer. Don’t ask dumb questions. That’s why it’s priced so low. All four tires hold air and it will roll in a straight line. I can help you pull it up onto a trailer. Would be great for a mini golf course prop or yard art. Make a rat rod, fully restore it, let it sit in your yard, use it in a low budget movie, it can be yours for $1500 cash”

This auction will be held at 3276 Springs Hill Rd Salisbury Pa (At The Springs Shop) on May 4th. The top and rear cover look custom. At first I thought the windshield was a CJ-3A, but the round arms suggest it may have been a modified 2A or military windshield. The jeep appears to included a plow.
