This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Very nice old Jeep Willys. All matching numbers. No rust. Runs very well. No smoke or leaks. Have all original 24 volt equipment, rear seat, snorkel, and various other parts. Cool African safari paint job, but would be easy to paint back original USMC style. Very fun to drive. Very straight body. Rare Jeep. Thanks!”

(03/25/2018) Has a gov plate. Also has a tiny dent in the passenger side, lol.
“AF 4×4, transfered to Missouri State, used to spray road side weeds, weed killer rusted back deck , spot of frame and spring. Extra parts wind screen, fuel, tank, springs and frame. Engine runs good, last time three years ago. body metal slight rust bust very sold. Warn hubs front. Invested $2,500.”

“Fun to drive 1953 CJ-3B. The is the civilian version of the M38 U.S. Army Jeep. This jeep has a new front disc brake conversion, so it stops great. New wheels and mud tires. New carburetor and electronic ignition for reliability. Seats have new covers and the vehicle has been vinyl wrapped, so the company’s logo can easily be removed. The electrical system has been upgraded from 6 volts to 12 volts. New headlamps and headlamp switch, and dash light. 3 speed manual transmission and transfer case. The F-134 engine has had the valves recently adjusted. The roll cage and front seat belts are there for safety. If you want a weekend cruiser, this is your vehicle. The original wheels and brakes are available. However, the original wheels will not fit over the disc brakes. Asking $6,800 based on $7,000 on Hagerty value of “Good”.

“Just testing the waters here, don’t really need to sell it but it is just sitting. Good top,all stock except for tires and wheels. Rebuilt the carb this spring and put a new fuel pump in it. I have not driven it on the road for years. 4wd drive works. Pretty rusty but complete. Also have some spare parts that can go with it. Will consider trades.“

(03/18/2018) Bill shared this modified GPW. Could be a good price. I love the classic paint job. It’s listed as a 1941 Ford Jeep, but looks to be a GPW, which makes it ’42 or later.

Chrome front A arm system with rack and pinion steering, 4 link with wishbone tracking system, new MT 33 X 17 X 15 skat trac paddles on rear and MT narrow tires with Douglas ultra light racing rims, etc..
About 35 passes on engine, never had nitrous on it.
Car and engine are show quality and in excellent shape… ready for tons of fun racing.
Best time on 100 yard track (300 ft) was 3.50 seconds @ 104 mph. 60 foot is 1.2 seconds. Car is setup perfectly and launches and runs nice and straight.
