Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This does have a hard-to-find Meyer Super Cab, but outside of that there’s nothing particularly rare here. Looks pretty solid. I’m not sure why there is a red X on the driver’s die where the mirror should be.

(07/19/2017) It runs, but needs brake work.
“This is a 1948 Jeep Willys. Have a clean title. The jeeps runs but needs work. Gas tank is rusted so it could use a new one ($150). I just run the fuel line to a big of fuel when it’s running. The water pump gasket leaks so that will need attention. The brakes could use some work but for an all original willys this thing is in pretty good shape. If you have questions just let me know and I’ll do my best to get you answers.”

“This 1961 jeep was a father son project, the son did most of the work, I helped out a little, it took three years, spent over $20,000. And I have the receipts, frame off, bead blasted, sealed, primed, body work done and painted. The engine was rebuilt by a professional shop, new crank, pistons etc. the transmission and rear differential were also rebuilt, new everything, wiring, radiator, carburetor, exhaust, tires, brakes and lines, new gas tank and lines, wheels and a lot more stuff was powder coated. The new windshield was broken, we can furnish or deduct from the price. The jeep has only about 20 miles on it! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask!”
