These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B, all original, flat-fender, first year of the “Hurricane Four” 4 cyl F-head motor. Original 6-volt electrical system, original oil-bath air cleaner, original vacuum motor windshield wiper. It has spent its whole life in the Oregon High Desert east of the mountains, so there is no significant rust, and was driven only locally for the last 50 yrs, so it has not been “put through the wringer.” Was driven occasionally and parked in back of the house for many years, and has been in a garage for the last several. It could probably be driven away, but has rarely been run for the last 15 years or so. Probably has gas varnished up in the fuel system, and should have a hi-detergent oil run a short while before an oil change, etc. It should probably be taken to its new home via a trailer for face-lift and/or restoration. “1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep with original Flat 4 motor and no rust…comes with snowplow. Metal top, not sure if that’s original but looks good…rear hitch for towing. Not great pictures….going to take more and put up soon. Ready for restoration…just needs paint job, new seats, and engine tune up. Runs good…needs new battery…can get it started for a test drive with another battery. $2700 obo”

“1952 Military M38 -a1 for sale. Jeep is solid. It runs and drives good. Brakes and park brake work. Tires are dry but still running them with no problems. Under carriage is clean and not rusted. I changed it from 24 to 12 volt but still have the 24 volt stuff. Has a clean title, asking $7000.00. ”

“Runs and drives great… feels a little strange bc your over the front wheels.. and it is geared to be a utility vehicle.. takes some getting used to… but it sure gets alot of looks.. the 4×4 all wotks great…
Still connecting up ebrake.. just waiting for new cable I bought.. thats coming in the mail.. and otherwise i have all the stuff.. just needs to be done… the drum and all that is there and ready to be connected… as is the handle… Just needs line connected..
I just finished installing the wipers.. not shown in pics but they are there and working..

The jeep was rear-ended.
“1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep- This jeep was 90% fully restored all original to vin number range when I was rear ended last year. The frame is cracked and body has been damaged but can be repaired. I have a second frame that I am including if you are looking to do a frame off restore, but otherwise the current frame is repairable. Want to see somebody put this jeep back on the road rather than sitting idle in my garage.
Also comes with several boxes of extra parts, gaskets, new seat back cushions etc, a roll bar designed specific to cj2a.
All new brake work and suspension was done just before I was rear ended. ”

“I orig. purchased this to build an offroad vehicle and then found out it was an actual M38 Military Willys that was only made from 50′ to 52′ and not just a normal cj2a-3a jeep so I have decided to move it on hopefully to a collector of this type of vehicle as it would be a shame to cut up a piece of history , It has been updated/changed over the years so it is not 100% original but it wouldn’t take much for the military Jeep collector to return it to stock , In its current state it runs and yard drives enough to move it around or load it on a trailer due to it needing tires and some carb tinkering/tune-up work , Continue reading
