About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The seller is a little off on the details, but this is worth a look. Looks like a custom dash plate was added.

“I am posting this Jeep for a friend of mine. He has got to the point that he can’t drive anymore and has decided to let it go. It has a matching covered utility trailer. It’s just as it was when first produced. Had radio, spare gas tank etc. Runs great and everything works.”

“this is the deal. this is my 1948 willys jeep cj2a. about 4 years ago i completed a ground up restoration, it is not a show vehicle(however i do take it to shows), not entirely original. i built this thing to drive, not to go wheeling. i rebuilt the l134 motor last year, the t90 transmission shifts smooth, i added an overdrive to the transfer case(works like split shifting). its a joy to drive. i just recently drove it to wildwood (a 100 mile round trip) without any issues. it currently has 4500 miles on it. i love it, i take it camping, move trailers around the yard via the front receiver hitch, drive it to work several times a month. it gets 14-16 mpg so its affordable to drive on a regular basis. top speed is now 55mph cruising at 45-50 in overdrive is where it is happiest. I’m not exactly wanting to sell it, I’m looking for more of a trade maybe with some cash.
I’m looking to build a flatbed/stakebody compact pickup with a diesel w/manual trans ext. capable of hauling a load when needed and carry some passengers and be relatively efficient while doing so. however, i am looking for a good candidate thats in good condition. preferably a toyota tacoma or pre tacoma double cab maybe a ranger, j10 jeep pickup. this is something i always wanted to do and i feel that i thoroughly enjoyed my time with my 48 willys. it just may be time for her to go. send me and email with what you have to offer along with its condition, or any questions you may have.”

“I have a willys overland for sale it’s in pretty good shape and mostly complete. I bought it just like it is to build a mud toy out of but I really don’t wanna ruin it like that. The motors all there but the head is off. I took pictures of the three first rust areas. The rest of it is pretty solid. I do not have a title for it.”
Looks like it could be a VEC. Might be a good price. Has pre-black-plate plates.
“Here it is! An unmolested flat fender Jeep. Runs like a swiss watch- flat head four cylinder. Hood, fenders, windshield, tailgate and vertical body panels are GOOD. Floor pan could use some patching in places. No top- who needs it? I only drive it on the weekends in good weather. I have a ton of spare parts including an extra transmission. Front brakes were upgraded to 11″ drums a couple years ago and this dude will now actually STOP when you want. Military style tires. Have a tow bar for it, an old (very cool) service manual that actually tells you how to fix stuff. Oh and it has a PTO that kinda works but I have nothing to run off it. If you’ve been looking for an original reliable old flatty this is it. No lift kit, no V-8 stuffed in it. Pretty much the way it was built (except upgraded to 12V and the brakes). Won’t last long. I’m not really dying to sell it so no low ball offers. No 215 or other crap- you’ll need cash for this. I will be able to show this to people on the weekend, 4/26-27. If you’re interested shoot me an e-mail. No- the dog doesn’t go with it….”
Engine isn’t running, but jeep appears in great condition and has a Willys Overland hardtop.
