About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(01/14/2013) This might be worth a look, since I don’t see too much rust. I like the upgraded data plates: duct tape with black ink.
“This is a old 46 CJ2A motor ran when parked in shed over 8 years ago. It is not seized. Tires are junk but are there to roll the jeep onto a trailer. Comes with an extra set of gears body needs work.”
Hasn’t been run in six years, but looks like it would be a good restoration project.
“Solid Willys CJ-3A Title and keys available. Motor will run hasnt been run in about 6 years ( will need Battery) Has been stored indoors its whole life except for the last two months. Any questions feel free to ask.”
Before restoration began on this CJ-3A This has a Blue Star hardtop.
After Restoration (and with his wife Lauren posing in front of it)
The CJ-3A in the top photo was listed on eWillys back on August 30th, 2012. It looked pretty sound to me, but according to buyer and restorer Scott Mills, a mountain of bondo was underneath the paint. Beautiful work Scott!
He writes, “I found this 49cj3a on your site 2 years ago- after sanding and a little blasting I found that someone used what seemed like 10lbs of body filler and rivets! As many of my purchases go, buyers remorse plagued me for months! Well, I replaced panels and spent hours hammering out the tub. The only splurge was a new hood and stock rims, I managed to save most everything else. My wife has a fashion blog here in Houston and used my Cj3a in this recent post:
This needs some body work. “Runs when jumped” could be a new catch phrase 🙂

“1953 WILLYS M38A1 MILITARY JEEP 35,300 MILES VGC For sale is an original 1953 Willys Military M38A1 Jeep. I obtained this Jeep from the McClure Fire Department in Ohio several years ago. It was occasionally used to plow their parking lot and was stored indoors for the most part. It still has many of the military accoutrements such as the convoy blackout marker lights, H.D. bumpers, waterproof ignition, 24 V. electrical system and illuminated high/low red dash lighting.
“1941 Willy’s “Slat Grill”. DOD December 4th 1941. Older restoration that was hardly ever driven. Only 875 miles since it’s restoration. New paint is pretty much all it needed. Runs and drives and stops very well. All canvas in good shape. Titled and currently on a “NON-OP” status. We will deliver it anywhere in California and put basic markings on it with a full price offer.”
