Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Two door Willys Jeep station wagons for sale. The green one is a 1951 complete and all original 4 cylinder with the three speed Overdrive tranny on the column. The faded red one is a 1949 with no running gear. Package deal for both is $2100 cash.”

“1946 3spd on the floor, tow bar, manual winch. Recently replaced: radiator, clutch, fly wheel, ring gear, starter, tires, master cylinder and brakes. Converted to 12 volt with turn signals. Totally street legal, great hunting rig with recently reupholstered seats.”

Looks like a solid M-38A1.
“This is an awesome Jeep. Purchased in 2005 from a gentleman in Massachusetts. This Jeep has always been garage kept. It has a title and was appraised for $8,500 in 2005. There are 45,000 miles on the engine and very little rust on the body. This vehicle runs well and the 4 wheel drive, works perfectly. The original 24 volt system remains and has a floor board start (no key). Very few modifications have been made to this Jeep and it shows well as is or can be brought up to show quality with little work. The gentleman I purchased from did add an overdrive gear which allows the Jeep to reach higher speeds. There are some minor “dings” in the body, but overall is in very good condition. Lights and electrical system are fully functional; turn signals added for street driving. This Jeep also has a heater!”

“Up for sale is a 1946 Jeep Willy’s CJ2-A. Restored with original engine, new seats, powder coated parts, Co-Op tires with powder coated rims, converted to 12 Volt system, and runs great. Engine starts right off and has no problems running!
