About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“If you look at it and the plate inside this use to be a Willy’s Jeep…a 1953 M38A1. At some point in time it was given a title as a 1965 CJ6A Jeep. A previous owner put in a 12 volt wiring harness but the switch and pedal are still in there to make it 24 again. It is being sold as is, needs work”
“1953 willy’s jeep cj3b
Runs great!! New battery, brakes, master cylinder , wheels cylinder , drums and pads. New gasoline tank, steering box rebuilt steering column. 12 volt system and rancho shocks.
New carburetor”
“Original-the way Ford built it in 1942. Garaged, no rust. M-1 rifle rack
Rebuilt engine, transmission, wiring. Current California registration and clear title.”
George forwarded this nice looking GPW for sale in the UK.
“Her name is “Diana”
Our understanding is that this Jeep has always been in the UK from 1943 and was based with the U S 8th Air force.
Fully restored three years ago by a well known UK Jeep restorer during which time no expense was spared, she is virtually a brand new GPW and must be one of the very best. She drives without any issue’s and the side valve engine pulls very well.
Everything you could wish to specify this Jeep has, even down to her 1942 U S spec Jerry can.
A bonnet bag complete with a full weather kit is included also.
Also there is an (unfitted) “Ohio Brass” Ariel and mast kit complete with mounting bracket.
Not the cheapest GPW in the country but well worth every single penny, an appreciating asset.
“This is a 1955 m38 A1 Military jeep super nice condition complete rebuilt engine new clutch new brakes new shocks unrestored solid no rust original top call 812-595-5950”
“Willys Jeep in good shape, not ” for it’s age” but actually in drivable working condition. Matching Serial # 59169 with rare rear PTO. Canvas top and doors but they are in poor condition, Starts and runs fine, drives, burns no oil, have NYS registration. Frame very good, a rust thru spot in passenger floor board but not major. New brakes, converted to 12 volt system, new fuel pump and gas tank, tires very good but age checked. Repainted red many years ago, was Michigan Yellow originally.”
(06/07/2013) It looks nice enough, but has no bow holders or windshield wipers (among other minor issues).
“Owned by the same family since new and used around there farm for a work vehicle. It has been restored to as close to original as possible by the son of the original owner. A nut and bolt restoration was done and it shows, very driveable unit ready to be enjoyed this summer.”
