1945 MB Austin, TX **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: MB • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $13,000

This looks real nice, but has a mix of dates and parts.

“Beautiful Willys MB. This is believed to be a 1945 MB, but year and serial number are unknown. Reproduction plates indicate a 1942 Willys. This jeep has undergone a frame off restoration and is perfect for parades, re-inactors, and collectors.

The frame is in excellent shape with minor work done on the front frame horns. The previous owner put in a rebuilt CJ2A/3A civilian flat head L-head engine. He said the engine was rebuilt a few years ago.

Everything has been gone through on this jeep and everything has been cleaned, repainted, or replaced with new, NOS, or repro parts.

Chassis and Drive Train: New leaf springs front and rear, new/rebuilt shackles, new shocks, new axle bumpers, frame stripped/blasted and painted, new front bumper, new gussets and new spring mounts – frame horns welded to repair some minor wear and tear.

Drive train has new u-joints, new clutch and bearing, new seals and bearings on tranny and transfer case which were drained, cleaned and repainted, and all fluids and gaskets replaced, new e-brake pads, hardware, and cable, new engine/tranny mounts, new brakes including all lines and hoses, new master cylinder, four new wheel cylinders. Rebuilt steering box and drag link with original re-painted steering wheel. Original rear bumperettes, repro. pintle hook. 5 new 6×16 6 Ply NDT tires on brand new combat rims. Tranny and transfer case real strong and work properly. Clutch does sometime keep from going into first, but will if you wiggle the shifter.

Engine: Runs strong and smooth, minor smoke at start up, relatively quiet engine, no misses. New Solex Carburetor , new fuel pump, rebuilt manifolds and new gaskets, new 12 volt alternator, new coil, new wiring, new battery, new hoses, new belts, new 180 degree t-stat, new temp. gauge, new ammeter, new fuel gauge and sender, new fuel lines, new plugs and wires. Brand new reproduction radiator and new cap.

Body: Bensinger MD Juan MB body kit; new tub, fenders, grille, windshield including new glass, new wipers, hood, seats, new fuel tank, new top bows, brackets and hardware, new canvas seats and top (Canvas is Beachwood and WEE BEE Webbing canvas), repro. shovel and axe, original 1945 dated Wheeling gas can, repro. water bucket, rebuilt authentic blackout lights, new headlights and tail-lights, repro data plates.

Misc: All new electrics, all new gauges, all lights, all new switches work properly. Brake tail lights do tend to stick on occasion.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500

“Up for sale is an authentic 1953 M38A1 military jeep. These jeeps are the models for the civilian CJ5 model but are much more robust. Brakes, 4cyl stock engine and basic lights (headlights, tailights and brake lights) all work. Body in very good shape with no rust. Steering is unusually tight for age as it must not have been driven much. Engine runs smoothly with no major issues (although it takes a while to warm up sometimes). 4×4 works perfectly. Overall functional m38a1 jeep in good shape.”

1951 Jeepster Gilroy, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Jeepster • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $24,900

That is one of the cleanest heads I’ve ever seen in a jeep.

“This is a stunning example of a1951 “Willys-Jeepster”. Almost impossible to find with only 19,131 produced from 1948-1951 and ONLY 5,845 from 1950-1951. The Jeepster is a two-wheel-drive convertible designed by Brooks Stevens. Stevens and Willys knew that returning World War II GIs would scoop up these fun-loving drop-tops as soon as they rolled off the assembly line, they are perhaps one of the most interesting vehicles in the storied off-road maker’s past: a sporty automobile rather than an off-road vehicle, this open-bodied car very rare and highly collectable, also it has secured a spot in history as the last true phaeton offered by a major domestic automaker. This Jeepster has a very recent extensive restoration only about 500 miles. The (new)paint and body are in excellent shape with proper lines and gaps. New chrome, new wiring, new rubber, new glass you get the idea. Only 84,954 original miles. Powered by the original Lighting flathead 6 cylinder which is a cast-iron 148.5-cu.in. block featuring a 3- x 3.50-inch bore and stroke, four mains and solid lifters, all working together to develop 72hp at 4,000 rpm with 6.42:1 compression(ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE 1951). Driven by its original 3-speed manual transmission with OVERDRIVE, ZERO RUST ZERO RUST REPAIR, up graded to a 12 volt system, period correct bias belted 3 inch White walls, original Willys hub caps and trim rings, original Willys steering wheel and factory gauges,( oil, temp. and water replaced with upgraded aftermarket gauges), new interior, original(Red) interior is in excellent condition and is included with the sale, new top, original side windows, rear steps, lots of restoration receipts, even touch up-paint. This super-cool ride will go 60-70 miles an hour on the freeway all day long. Very dependable, total blast to drive. Now on display at the home of “over the top cars””

1949 CJ-3A Dehli, Ca $5500

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3A • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

The jeep looks solid.  I respectfully disagree with the claim that “it will never lose its value”, as we all know by the many “ran when parked” descriptions of jeeps.  I would say they will all lose value unless maintained, which is an investment of time and money.

“1949 willys jeep. Has been restored. Almost ever part you can think of has been replaced, rebuilt or restored .Has oringmal flat head 4 cyl. T-90 3 speed. front, rear diffs have be rebuilt transmission to. Engine is stock and runs and purs like a kitten. Jeep has Military tires that are brand new including spare. 16″ wheels. Brand new best top with an extra set of doors. In side of jeep has been rhino lined. Has new heater with defroster vents. This jeep needs nothing. You can drive it in a parade, take it four wheeling this thing will go just about anywhere, or just cruise it around town. Tow it anywhere with its own tow bar. I have lots of pics of this jeep, but its a must see. It gets attention where ever I go. If you want something that will never loose value and is different than this is the jeep for you. You Can see more photos here”

1945 VEC CJ-2A Sidney, Oh **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: , , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was on eBay

(08/15/2012) The seller neglects to mention the lack of tool indents on the body.

“You are looking at my 1945 Willys Jeep with 3 speed on the column. Very sought after jeep as it is true to the descripition or history I have looked up on the Net as to column shift. There was only 1824 made the first year as they were made with the last of the war jeeps that came down assembly line. Now about this jeep. it was given a new body and paint, Paint color is harvest tan and if you go to color code for 1945 at kasier willys catalog it is a brown like color. it has had all wiring replaced, It is still original 6 volt but with new wires. Engine was gone through a few years back and purrs like a kitten. All numbers match as being the frame tag, inner hood tag and the dash tags. All shown in the pictures. There is no rust. Only problem area is around windshield frame as it might need fixed in a few years but does not look bad at this time. i also have the original hitch that goes to the jeep as it needs painted and bolted on. Really nice original hitch. I have had several comments on how unique it is and it turns alot of heads when it rides down the road. As many people see the old military jeeps from that year but hardly see a CJ2A civilian jeep today.”
