Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I am selling my 1959 Jeep FC 150. Rust free survivor. No cancer, just surface. Original paint. Originally from a ranch in dry Idaho climate. Mechanically fantastic. Recent engine rebuild by highly reputable Jeep mechanic. New clutch. New brakes. New shocks. Stainless steel gas tank. New tires. Plus other little detailed fixes. I am ashamed how much I have in this pet project. I have receipts for all the work done. Some new glass replaced. I have a rare replacement windshield to go with it. It is truly an original. I get the thumbs up whenever I am on the road with it.”

This might make an interesting project. Someone started stealing parts, so the seller wants this to go to a deserving jeep enthusiast.

This runs and drives.
“1953 Willys wagon with original motor rebuilt. Starts runs and drives nicely. Does not smoke. Good power for 4 Cylinder. Original 3 speed manual with Dana 18 transfer case. Four wheel drive works fine in both high and low range. New master cylinder. Horn and windshield wipers do not work. Tires hold air but are old so would need a new set. Very little rust. It has been repaired over the rear wheel arches and the front floors have been overlain with steel. Yes, that is real duct tape on the seats—accept no substitutes!!!! This is a good everyday driver as is or would be an easy restore. Comes with a set of original 16 inch rims. Clear title in my name. $2000. Call 406-544-1638 or 549-5943”
