About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(06/24/2018) This may have a rare Worman CJ-3B hardtop.
“1954 Willys CJ3B. Great project. Very solid and straight. Has arctic hardtop. Engine and seats are missing but everything thing else is there. Find another 134 “F” head or perfect for a v6 or V8 conversion. Last driven in 1976. Stored under a carport for a majority of the time since then. It will be hard to find a better CJ3B to restore than this one. Has not been abused or molested like a most. If the ad is up it’s for sale. No trades too many projects already. Do not respond with an offer to help sell it.”
Not a perfect restoration back to stock, but seems a good price.
“For Sale. 1947Willys CJ2A. Completely rebuilt engine, new brakes shoes, brake lines, wheel cylinders, fuel line, tires, seat covers, wiring, converted to 12V. 3 speed floor shift with 2 speed transfer case and 4 wheel drive, all in excellent working order. Reasonably new paint in flat buckskin and have an extra gallon. Aluminum radiator, new exhaust, rebuilt starter, and all new gauges w/speedo. Great off road vehicle, not great for highway due to very low gearing. I don’t need any help with selling the vehicle. “CASH ONLY””
“A fully restored M38 has been body off frame restored in 1997. Original body and frame. I purchased this Jeep in 2012 with only 5,895 miles. I was told the engine block was cracked. I purchased another military M38 block and had it totally rebuilt. It now has only 260 miles on it. 24 volt system, deep water fording system for air intake and exhaust, doors and side curtains, rifle dash rack, pedestal for 30 cal. 1919 browning machine gun, radio antenna, gas can with original delivery sticker on the bottom, water bucket, first aid kit, tool kit and a Ohio title.”
Did some AFB’s combine blue and olive drab colors like this?
“For sale a 1951 Willis Jeep M-38. I am selling it because I am moving out of state and have no room for it at my new house. This Jeep is restored as a Air Force Military Police vehicle from Eglan, AFB. The Jeep has new wiring, clutch, pressure plate, brakes, brake lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, carburetor, tires, and starter. The fuel pump on it now is not the correct pump, but the correct one is included with many other extra parts. The seats have been recovered with the original springs. The gages work sometimes erratically, The engine is a Govt. Rebuild. The attached items on the vehicle are the siren, red light, rotating mars light, and spotlight. There is period radio used by MP’s. The vehicle is being offered here and on EBAY. If you decide to buy it you will have to arrange your own transportation.”
“Selling my 1955 Willys CJ-5 Clean title in my name currently on planned non-op with no fees. All original and unmolested! No rust! The jeep spent most of its life on a ranch in Northern California. Freshly painted and “semi-restored”. The only changes to the Jeep are a new Walck’s wiring harness, 12-volt conversion, 94 AMP alternator, new locking hubs, the original radiator (yes still in) has a new three row copper core and works perfect, new windshield and rubber, new brake lines, master and slave cylinders, new u-joints, front leaf springs rebuilt by Atlas Spring to original specs, new reproduction mechanical fuel pump, and new seats and Mastercraft lap harnesses. I have the original generator, and an original under dash heater unit, which still works. Flat-tow trailer hitch included and towing lights included. Runs and drives great. Asking $8500.’
“THIS PARTICULAR JEEP IS PART OF LARGE COLLECTION OF EARILY MODEL WILLYS JEEPS THAT WERE PUT IN STORAGE OVER 45 YEARS AGO, AND ARE JUST NOW BEING OFFERED FOR SALE. IT IS IN ORIGINAL CONDITION. IT HAS ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY PAINT, AND HAS NEVER HAD ANY BODY DAMAGE. IT IS COMPLETELY STRAIGHT. ”
It’s listed asa. M-606, but I don’t see anything to indicate it is anything other than a CJ-3B. Notice that just behind the bumper it appears there are a couple of support bars that appear non stock.
(08/18/2015) “1961 Willy’s Jeep CJ3. This is the original paint, minimal rust, all hubcaps, and is in really good shape. It was put into storage approx 18 months ago running. Has new distributor, plug wires, battery etc..”
Nice frame off restoration of a 1964 DJ-3A. You can see it has a gov tag on the dash.
“1964 Willys DJ3A Jeep, government issue. Original 4-cylinder flathead. Body off restoration, low miles. Body was media blasted, then heat-primed like factory before light body work and paint. NO GARBAGE RUST REPAIRS or SNEAKY PATCH PANELS! Beautiful original floors! Original seat frames, top bows, fenders, grille, tailgate, and hood also blasted and primed before paint, DONE RIGHT! Beautiful new canvas top, doors, and side curtains as original. Seats also redone original pattern olive vinyl. Ultra rare factory special order Willys Borg Warner automatic transmission! Believed to be the only drivable survivor with a factory automatic transmission. Runs great, fun to drive.”
