About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I think some better photos would be very helpful. Unclear if it runs.

“1959 Jeep Willy FC-170 Longbed for sale. Not interested in parting out for parts. Although this is definitely a project vehicle, it is worth it if you are looking for a clean titled vintage vehicle. Chassis is in fair condition but is repairable, the bed has some rust. Drive train, engine, intact but has not been driven since 1996, wheels and tires intact. No front or rear window on the cab. Call 465-2100 if interested. Thanks for looking, Mark”

“This is quite possibly the nicest CJ2A in the country! Basically, this is a brand new Willys. New body, frame, suspension, all lines and gaskets, rebuilt engine and tranny, new carb, battery, seat frames and upholstery, all electriclas are new and updated, most nuts and bolts are stainless steel, new gas tank and sender, all brackets and straps are new, new windshield and glass, new horn and button, new brakes, brackets and switches. The engine has been fired, but not broken in yet. This is a brand new restoration never taken out of the garage! Please, very serious inquiries only. Asking price is much less than restoration cost. 315 492 9983 leave message.”

Brett spotted this rare Ensign 100 that’s in great condition.
“This is a Ensign mine mantrip that was purchased by my dad from a local mine in our area. It is a very well built outfit complete with 3\4 ton axels with disc brakes all the way around. It is powered by a 3.9 liter cummins 4 cylinder diesel with a chevy turbo 400 tranny. It is very low geared and tops out at about 30-35 mph. It runs and drives great. It has plenty of ground clearence even though it is only 2 wheel drive. With a little work I think it would be easy to make it a 4 wheel drive. It seats 2 up front with seats over the wheel wells. It has been here at my house since it was purchased and the kids and I have enjoyed driving it around our place. It would be great around a ranch or to use as a cruiser or to build a crawler out of it. Please feel free to call or email.”
“This Jeep was going to be a “project car” which I have not set aside the time for. I have used it for the last two years just to plow my driveway. The master cylinder was just rebuilt however the brakes do not work. The plow works great and it comes with an excellant condiiton best top with no rips or tears. The motor runs great and all aspects of the four wheel drive system function as well.”
(02/20/2010) Here’s an FC Project. Check out the list of recent work done on the craigslist ad. Lots of good pics at the link below.
“I bought this FC 150 last year with the best intention of restoring it. It reminded me of my old 404 Mercedes Unimog. I still really like it, but I don’t have enough time to restore it. I also own a 1974 Jeep J-4800 gladiator pickup and I can’t justify owning two pickups. The cab lower parts and pickup bed floor has rust and needs body work. It does run and drive fine though. The transfer case and transmission works well in all ranges. It has Warn locking front hubs which I just cleaned and greased. I removed the fuel tank, flushed and treated the interior with a rust converter. Registration is current and the CA title is clear in my name. No DMV hassles and is smog exempt…. Problems include the rust I mentioned above, a broken speedo, cracks in the door window glass. Windshield is not cracked however. Engine kind of sounds like a diesel, but has good oil pressure. I have never owned a 4 cyl jeep before so it could be normal. Exhaust needs replacing. Fuel pump was replaced with a solid state electric one by the previous owner. It works fine. The mechanical fuel pump is still in place, but I never tested to see if it works. Tires are old and should be replaced. The seats are probably not original because they don’t fit right. ”
With some paint, this might clean up very well. It’s got no rust, but also has no seats.
“1947 Willys Station Wagon: Converted to 12 volt, alternator, new tires, powder coated rims, original paint “luzon red”, new shocks, brake linings, new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, borg warner overdrive, good glass all around, some rust in front fenders where attached to wagon near doors. No rust in floor pans or rear quarters! This vehicle would make great resoration, as is in “original condition”. No rust in rear tailgate, original single lens back light. Lights, dash guages, electrics, work fine. The original 4 cylinder engine runs fine. Good radiator. Three speed column shifter works excellent. Runs and drives well. Steering is tight. No seats inside. Wide oak cargo liners are in good condition. Original Willys Overland rubber floor mats on steps, both drivers and passenger side. More”
