Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “UNMOLESTED !!! All original 1955 Model # 6-226 4×4 SW 54168 Willys Station Wagon 4 Wheel Drive 32,492 original miles. Original 6 volt system. Garage kept most all these years. Recently licensed and on the road. I drive it around most every weekend
Well researched pedigree – Purchased new in 1955 by Frank C. Moore, Lt Governor of NY from 1951 to 1953 for use on his Great Camp in Indian Lake, NY. Kept at the great camp from ’55 to 1985 then transferred to a groundskeeper in 1985-ish. Then sold to another individual around 1987 or so. Then sold to a fellow in Canadice, NY. Then sold to me. I’ve had the truck since early 2007.
Runs very well. Body o.k. obviously a bit of rust but solid and stable. Brakes are good although they must be pumped. Frame as good or better than most you will find Roughly 3,000 miles on new non-direcitonal military style tires. Gauges work. New plastic gas tank.

This looks like a pretty nice M-38 with good accessories for the price.

It is an older restoration – – the engine has been rebuild, and has less than 1000 miles on it. It has working radios. The jeep has been in many parades. It runs and drives good. The brakes are good. It comes with a canvas top. $6,500.- with radios or $6,000.- without radios. I have more pictures if you are interested”

“Restored to original. 3/4 ton, 4WD. Super Hurricane 226 6 cyl. engine, 3 speed transmission, 33,000 original miles, all in NM. Looks great, runs great.”

The seller explains why this was painted pink. Looking past the pink color and it appears this CJ-2A is in excellent condition.
“1947 Willys CJ 2A – two tone hot pink. This flat fender Army Jeep runs great and is lots of fun. It has been kept in a garage or under shelter for the last 8 years. It has been converted from the original 6 volt system to 12 volts and has new breaks on it. It is an eye catching head turning vehicle they people go crazy over taking pictures of it with their cell phones and cirling back to get another look at it. It was painted hot pink by the previous owner in KC who modeled it after Elvis’ jeep he saw at Graceland. The exact milage is unknown.”
This was bought. Interestingly enough, it’s registered as a CJ-2L. You can learn more about it here.

This looks like a nice wagon.
“Very clean and original 1962 Willys Wagon. 6 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, rebuilt engine and new clutch. I am only the third owner of this very well maintained wagon. I have all the original paperwork from the dealer and maintance receipts. This vehicle runs excellent and would make a fine daily driver.”
