Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. There’s dents and some rust. Interestingly, despite the increase in flatties, Forward Controls continue to be difficult to find.
“I have a 1957 FC-150 Willys Jeep. New tires with spacers, new carburator,bed has been resently sand blasted and powder coated. Vehicle runs is driveable but need some work. New fuel pum, shocks, brakes comes with some extra parts.Price not set in stone, pictures available. Engine cover in bed of truck to show original engine.”

There’s a variety of nice updates to this CJ-2A. The hole in the hood would not be one of them. I bet the seller would throw in the ‘rock’ brake (note driver’s side tire) as a freebie.

“this is a 52 jeep willies orignal war jeep.. mostly all stock clean body! i have been primering it up back to army green and getting it allready 4 paint. engine dose need some work but alittle tlc it will run once again. -$1000 obo”
I can’t say for certain, but the year would indicate this is a MB or GPW body and parts. No condition noted and no pics included. It’s been available since at least Nov 24th.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.
It looks perfect in the pictures. The restorer worked at an aerospace plant and used aerospace paint primers. There are plenty of upclose pics. I believe him when he says every part was sandblasting.

The more I read the list of specs on this jeep, the more I liked it. The drive train is a great combo for both on road and off road. I think the addition of an overdrive would really complete this nice package.
“This is a 1948 Willys CJ2A with a Meyer power angle plow setup. I put the plow on 3 years ago and it was only used on my driveway. This jeep has seen its share of off-road use so it isn’t a show vehicle. It is a very strong working Jeep that is a blast to drive on and off road. Body is a replacement steel tub, hood, fenders, grill, windshield frame and tailgate are original. 225 cu.in. Dauntless V6 from a 1970 Jeep. HEI electronic ignition.
SM420 transmission, 4 speed with 7.05:1 granny low first gear. Dana 18 transfer case with the large 1.25″ intermediate shaft. Dana 44 rear axle with Lockright locker and 4.27 gears. Dana 27 closed knuckle front axle with 4:27 gears.”
