This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Yeah, you read that right. Craig from the FC-Connection site kindly dropped me a note saying that none other than Tim ‘the tool man’ Allen purchased this beautiful FC-150 for $38,000. It probably didn’t hurt that the FC was auctioned at the Russo-Steele Auction, the televised auction you might have seen on ESPN2 while flipping through cable channels.

UPDATE: This sold for $698
An eWillys reader somehow found this in the ‘other makes’ section of ebay Motors. It made me laugh, so I have posted this for your Sunday amusement. Even though the starting bid is only $99, there are no bids.
“… The complete, unaltered 4WD drivetrain from that 1947 Willys Jeep: engine, tranny, transfer case, front & rear drive, suspension, steering, cooling system, etc. was installed on a homemade (C channel) frame. Most of the body, tilt bed & plow were also homemade. I must say, while “strange”, (owner is a carpenter), everthing is “well built”….. “
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
This looks pretty good.
“1947 Willys Jeep in good condition. Recent engine overhaul, four wheel high and low, heater, new rear seat, runs and drives great. This is great at the hunting lease, ranch, farm or trip to the mountains. Good in snow and mud and lots of fun for the family. Hard to find in this original condition. Soft top is in great shape and recently replaced the boots covering the shifters. Asking $3500 or make me an offer.”
The CJ-5 comes with a warn overdrive, a ford-top loader, a ford 289, a full cage and a set of hurricane aluminum 10″ rims. $1500 isn’t a bad price for that combo + the rest of the parts.
The FC-150 looks pretty good as well for $1500, if it comes with some of the missing parts.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.
Looks like a pretty good price for what’s there. Maybe it even runs?
“All original 49 willys jeep ready for restoration. No major rust mostly surface. Oringinal flat head 4.”
Doesn’t look too shabby.
“Real nice CJ2A with a Super Sonic 6cyl engine. This Jeep has new brake system, new radiator, rebuilt starter, heater and wipers work. It also has a recent tune-up and great top. It does need tires and seat cushions. I’d keep it, but I’m too large to get in and out of it comfortably. Will trade for Jeep Cherokee of equal value. “1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A, 134 CI Flat Head, three speed, original 6 volt system with rebuilt generator, split windshield, the Jeep is clean, runs, motor sounds good, drives but does smoke. Jeep has some new parts such as carb, gas tank, fuel line, front brake slave cylinders, master cylinder, 15” wheels, tires. A great start to a fun and easy restoration. No rear seat frame, no top, but some original extra seat parts included. Owner since 1990. Located in Broomfield. “
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
This is pretty beat up for a $1500 jeep.

The body is beat up a bit. It’s got a CJ-3A windshield. Hard to tell much more.

There’s only one pic, but I don’t see any major rust. This might be a good deal.
