This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is the nicest ‘VEEP’ I’ve seen. The seller is incorrect about the body, as that’s obviously a M-38 body. As of this post the high bid is $3319.
“Up for auction is an extremely rare and fun Kit 2 wheel drive Veep. I absolutely love this little Jeep. It was built in 1981 using a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle donor car. The body is an all steel 1948 Willys CJ-2A. It was meticulously & professionally built by an aerospace engineer according to the information I have. The kit was designed by the Scamp corporation. You can tell this was done right in every way. Most people do not realize that it’s not an actualy Willys….”
At the 4wd swap meet in March, my only purchase was a bottom cover for my TH-350 housing. I was assured it would fit a TH-350. I figured, for $10, it was worth a try.
I got it home, cleaned it up, even painting it. It looked like it should fit. But alas, no matter how many ways I tried to make it work, the holes didn’t line up. That will teach me to try something new (as in trying an automatic). So, my search continues ….. here’s a picture, for what it’s worth

“Super clean restored with original parts (except for wheels and tires). Detailed “Hurricane 6” flat head motor with oil bath airfilter, in-line oil filter. 4 wheel drive with high and low ranges, and Warn overdrive. All new glass, hidden stereo/cd player, new interior. Garage kept for over 15 years. Not perfect but close. Interesting trades considered. “
Given the windshield appears in good shape, I’d say this is a good price for this parts jeep.
‘rebuilt carb, new head gasket, needs distributer and should run. the tub is pretty rusty but other than that it is pretty decent for use off road or parts. Might consider partial trade for a stick welder, oxy-fuel torch or other welding equipment. “

“1952 Willys Jeep M-38 Buick 231, HEI Ignition, New flowkooler Water pump, GM 14 amp alternator, TH400 auto & Dana 20 out of Wagoneer, Centered Dana 44 rear, Dana 30 front Full rollcage and harnesses. Rollcage is now painted olive drab along with back tube bumper and star on hood. Also now has 31×10.5 tires on black spoke wheels.”
Yeah, it’s been chopped a bit in the rear end, but it looks like there’s some reasonable parts there (nice full cage, tires and rims). I’m sure it would be a fun little runabout vehicle.

Right hand drive, 4cyl engine, auto trans, commercial glass slide top freezer, candy rack, charlie brown peanuts theme graphics, music player, up to date safety swingout & signs, all lights & blinkers operate, a/c unit, generator rack on rear bumper “generator not included” very clean little “starter” ice cream truck. $4,800 obo or trade for ??? Will return emails promptly, if your looking at this ad the ice cream van is still available.”

Despite what the seller writes, it looks like there’s more than a little rust on this body. But, if the rust isn’t too bad, then this might be a decent price.
“I am selling a 1950 Willys CJ3 for my father. He bought it and did a little work to it but doesnt have the time to restore it(or sell it). It has a clear KY title. The jeep is located in Stearns, Ky, 42647. The Good: runs, drives, brakes work(enough anyway), new alternator, new battery, replaced radiator, new exhaust from the manifold back, tow bar, extra carburator, very little rust(for a 59 year old jeep). The Bad: carburator floods sometimes when you first start it(once its going it goes though), brakes need work(but they will stop you). The Ugly: windshield cracked, paint very rough, hood patched(somebody had a scoop on it), mismatched seats. I am asking $1400.00 O.B.O. “
