Here’s an interesting build.
“will trade for bass boat and trailer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2800.
It needs a little work.
“1951 CJ3A Willys Jeep. The Good: Complete, mostly original, flat-four. Also includes full 6-point cage, new tires, new shocks, new gas tank and lines, and new brake lines. The Issues: It has been sitting for a while and was in the middle of a 12-volt conversion that was never finished (no generator or alternator currently) when I bought it, wiring needs attention, turns over and starts, has a couple rust-out spots under the rear tail lights, quater size hole under the drivers seat in the pan, and rust in the rigger body braces under the body near the frame (where the wood was located). No pink slip.
I bought it as a project and have not had the time to finish it. It had been sitting for a while prior to me buying it… I massaged the cylinders with some Marvel oil, added some fresh gas to the carb and it cranked over and it tried to run. Sputtered, puttered, but ran. Since then, I have replaced all the gas lines, cleaned the new tank (it had old gas in it), added two inline filters, new plugs, new wires, and there it sat. Thus, I know it’s not frozen and only needs minor tweaking to run.”
This must be sold. Someone may get a good price on this. I can’t tell if it runs or not.
“as is, we’re moving and its to be sold for asking price or b/o needs to be sold please call (no e-mails) Art (408) 648-3943 or Tony (408) 836-7360”
Here’s a pretty good looking project. It appears some good work has already been done.
“47 CJ2A needs to be assembled. 1.Frame needs brake cylinder kits installed. Have kits. 2 Body has section in tool box under passenger seat that needs patched otherwise it needs small dings fixed. Its in very good condition. 3. Has good windshield and grille and fenders and tailgate. Just need to be bolted on. 4. Engine was supposed to be rebuilt. I put new gaskets in it but ran into problems when I tried to put the oil pump in. It ruined the gears on the pump but have a pump that gears can be taken off of. Not sure what is the problem there. May need a new cam or just a better gear?. Flywheel has been turned and ready to install. Have 16″ rims with old tires for it, but the 15″ tires for pushing it around go with it. Have a steering wheel but needs to be epoxyed. I have too many projects right now so I decided to sell it, but will keep it if I can’t get what I have into it out of it. Body and parts are really nice condtion.”
This looks pretty stock.

Carburetor needs cleaning or adjust because it wont stay running. It starts right up. Good tires and wheels. It has a farmer paint job you might want to redo. Front windshield is here. Newer wiring harness is installed. Lights work, but parking need to be hooked up. Brakes good. Clear title.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK THE VIN … THIS WAS A FUN ONE: The seller noted on ebay that this is a ’57, but it has the older, pre’57 dash. That raised a flag. So, I looked closely at the VIN: The first set of numbers are 55268 instead of 453 GB2. That VIN actually belongs to a 1956 Pickup Truck 6 cyl (226 ci) with 4wd with a serial number of 33836. See this service bulletin for the details.
