This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Too many toys, not enough time left to finish… This little cab-over Willys 4×4 with some finishing TLC, could be a real show stopper… It has a 283 CI rebuilt Ford engine, with an added air tunnel for excellent cooling. It comes with near new tires, chrome wheels and a small lift kit. The bed sits on new mounts and comes with a side toolbox, the body is in primer with a minimal amount body work left before painting. The new re-wiring is more than 75% finished…. “1947 JEEP WILLYS CJ2 49K oringinal miles. My father and I bought this Jeep locally in the hopes of bringing it back to life. We have both been too busy to work on it which is the reason we’re selling it. As most of you know, these are extremely hard to find collector Jeeps. It is in pretty good condition in comparison to a lot of other Willys I’ve seen for sale. The flat-head four cylinder is out of it right now however can easily be put back in. The windshield frame is from the military version and is very rare. We are willing to deliver for the price of mileage. (03/27/2010) Check out the unusual updates on this. For example, note the welded tailgate at an angle.
“1949 Willys Jeep. $3,000 or best offer! 12 Volt System. 4 Cylinders. 4×4. The Jeep needs a little work. It ran two years ago, I did not try to start it.”
This truck was headed towards a crusher until Carl saved it. He’s not sure what he’s going to do with it, but he felt there was too much value to have it crushed. Note the custom wheel creation.
“Here are the pictures of the 55 Willys as I found it in a scrape metal collectors yard, it has its original running Super Hurricane engine 4 wheel drive components, head lights, park lights and dash all in tack, 20″ wheels were welded to the original 16’s and it spent the last few years hauling fire wood in rural Newfoundland. It had been abandoned and was set to go to the crusher when I found it and hauled it home. Not sure at this point what I will do with it, it’s safe for now.”
