“For sale 1952 willys army jeep has all the orginal vin plates great project jeep call for more info please 706-371-7307”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This is a beautiful build.
“We recently retired and moved from California to Wisconsin on the Rock River I purchased the Willys about two years ago (California vehicle-no rust). I made a few minor improvements but for the most part it is as I purchased it. When we arrived in Wisconsin I ended up buying a boat and a couple of wave runners for the Grandkids. Running out of room so I have to get rid of some things.
This is a 1951 Willys with four wheel drive that works. It has a 327 Corvette engine, not sure of year. Tires are Steel Belted Radial 32 x 11.50, 15”. Rims are “American Racing”. Has a new Pioneer Radio/CD player, new battery, an electric antenna, and a power wench. Speedometer shows 3701 (not original speedometer) had 200 on when I bought. This is not a show car. Has a few nicks and two spots on the roll bar where the paint got rubbed off (see picture). Other than that, it runs great and is a fun vehicle to drive (very quick). Gets lots of attention wherever I go.”
This is very much a project. Despite what the seller says, I’m less certain that grille is stock. It looks like a MB grille to me. The body, along with the V35U specific data plate, appear to be correct. Here are some pics I was using from the G503as a comparison.
“I am selling a VERY RARE military jeep. Here is an article on them: http://www.cj-3a.com/CJ-V35U.htm
It is a 1950 Willys CJ-V35-U. They made only 1000 of these jeeps for the USMC in 1950. It is factory built using a mixture of MB, And CJ3A parts, and is very very rare. The one that i am selling is in VERY restore-able condition, and mostly complete, and un-molested. It has been stored indoors for several years. This jeep retains a lot of the original, hard to find parts, like: Ram horn tow hooks, Starter, generator, voltage regulator, front seats, pintle hook, Fuel tank, front bumper, bumperetts, tail gate, lower spare tire carrier half, air cleaner, cross over tube, fording exhaust with shroud, head light switch, Transmission locking chain, all gauges (minus temp), two correct windshield frames. NOS voltage regulator, NOS fording tail pipe bracket.
It comes with the following reproduction parts: Upper spare tire carrier, Lift rings, and antenna mount. This is a NUMBERS MATCHING JEEP, the engine is the correct serial number for this jeep!! the engine number is V-10125, and the chassi is believed to be chassi number V-10115. They started production @ number V-10101, so this was #115 of 1000 to be built. It has the correct hood, fenders, grill, body. There is a little controversy over the nose of this jeep, but there are things i can point out that are factory and that no one would have been able to change. It is very early production in a very limited production run. Asking $5100.00, Sorry no trades”
I think this is still a project. It’s unclear to me if it runs or not.
“1948 Willys. Has 283 chev V-8(Might be out of 59 Corvette). Original trans, transfer case and rearend.New Rancho shocks. Tilt wheel. New guages. Custom fuel cell. Decided to take on a different project. $3100.00 or best offer.”
No pics provided, but this might be a great price.
“1942 Ford GPW (Willys Jeep) Has been used as an off road camping vehicle for the last 30+ years. It’s recently had the seats redone and some misc work. However, there is some damage from a brush fire to a tail light and the top cover. It’s in good overall condition. It would be great to keep as a toy or as a restoration project. Please e-mail me to set up a time to view the jeep. It’s being stored at my father’s house in Mona. I live in Colorado.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
Here’s a couple of parts jeeps.
“I have two willys jeeps for sale. One of them is a cj2a (1948?), and the other is a cj3a (1950?). They both need work, but they were both running when and driving when parked. The picture of the one on the left side has the transmission out for a rebuild that never got finished, the parts are in a box, new clutch, main shaft, gears, etc. It has mud tires that were bought about two years ago, virtually no miles on them. The one on the right was running and driving and bought as a parts jeep. These jeeps have been hunting jeeps for a long time. The bodies have typical rust, pretty decent shape for jeeps of this age. Take two and make one, or use both for you parts jeeps. I do not have titles to either one but will give a bill of sale. I am asking $1500 OBO, for the both of the jeeps. Make me an offer. Thanks for looking.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800
The body looks like it might be a replacement body or this is really a M-38.
“47 Jeep, mostly stock, Pinto 4cyl, Runs good but could use some brake work. Has a new top and good doors. 33″ swampers.”
It doesn’t run.
“1949 willy Jeep – Not running, ready for overhaul. $1,200 or OBO call 548-3140. northwest tucson.”
