Well, it might be more marketing than history, but it’s interesting none-the-less. Here’s a look at the early toyota AK-10 & BJ.
While looking for a clean example of the Willys Overland script, I came across an auto-created page, a page of complete jibberish that attempts to make the owner money by getting hits and advertising google and craigslist ads (therefore, I won’t provide a link). However, on this same page I found this odd CJ-5. It looks like the picture is somewhere in southern Utah. Anyone seen this elsewhere?

“1948 Willy’s CJ-2A project for sale with original title. $1,600.00 OBO. Custom 2x4x120 wall frame. 2”x120 DOM 6 point roll cage w/ UHMW roof. 1.5”120 DOM engine, winch protection and rock sliders. I still original hood and fenders. I also have a custom aluminum hood built to fit a Chevy 350 engine. The body and chassis comes with a 15 gallon fuel cell holly blue fuel pump, American auto wire harness, steering column, Toyota brake booster and 1 ton gm master cylinder, 2 RCI seat including covers, front leaf springs for a V8 application, 4” TJ coils for the rear and 18” bilstien shocks. A set of 39.5x15x15 TSL super swampers mounted on 12x10x15 rock crawler steel wheels 8on 6.5 Can be added for $700.00 ”
It’s dirty and there’s a dent in the left rear corner, but otherwise it looks solid.
