About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(11/04/2010) This looks like a good rig with a variety of updates. I wonder if it has an updated rear end given the Dana 20.
“Overall in good shape…305 chev v-8,t18 3spd,dana 20 t-case,pop out windshield frame, tilt steering, new seats, paint, centerline wheels, good tires, auto meter tach, runs well..lots of power,4×4 works well, has tow bar,new fuel cell, and battery box,has been re-wired, has original dash tags, clean wash. title, also has plate”
“Complete Has overhead valve engine out of a newer (1950s-60s) jeep. Frame broken near grill. Has Willys stamped on windshield frame. Tub has been patched a few times but it it almost 70 years old. Great for parts. Was a mudder before frame broke about 15 years or so ago. I unhooked the generator and put a battery in it last summer and it whirled over but thats as far as I went. 740-464-0363 I will consider trades. No title.”
This has a solid looking body, though there have been a few mods to it (and the rest of the jeep).
“Well I’m sure no expert on jeeps, but this m-38 jeep was almost given to me by a friend. This information is just as I’ve received it from him.
This jeep has just sat idle in a car port for the last 5 years or so. First I will list the minuses as I see them. It has not run for several years. It needs seats (but I have the base frames). It will require whatever sitting idle for 5 years would require. (fresh gas, tune up, fluids, battery etc). I do not have a top, or a key.
Now for some of its pluses.
This Jeep had a v-6 Buick professionally installed some years back. The install looks as if it came from the factory. (nice Job)
This jeep was running and driving well when it was last parked. It has the military 5:38 gears, axe mount, and one run “dark light”.
This jeep is almost 60 years old and not rusty. The floors, bed, and body are excellent.”
(06/25/2009) This looks really nice, but I’m not sure I’m big on the palm fronds.
“1948 Willys Jeepster ,Converted To each Cruiser. All restored has some paint blemmishes,4 cylinder 6 volt 3 on the tree tranny.Have originol top ,boot and side windows clean. Was running great has 2 week cylinders needs rebuilt ”
“1954 Willys CJ3B , 4-Wheel Drive with plow. Needs some TLC, runs great, would make a nice winter plow truck or a restoration project. There are no brakes, vehicle has been sitting, floor pans are shot, but the little beast keeps running.”
“1946 Jeep Willys. This is an unrestored Jeep Willys CJ2A. Sold on Ebay and Buyer never came through…So 2nd Chance for you!
This Jeep is sold as is. Everything appears to be there: engine, drive train and transmission. I don’t know how long it has sat and or ran. It rolls and can be restored to something special or used for parts. Will ship-you pay based on formula below. If you are in the area then arrangements can be made through seller. Buyer pays for all shipping costs. I do not currently have a title. I have a bill of sale from the lady I purchased it from. You have to file for a lost title. All of the numbers match: frame, tub, motor, etc.”
“1952 willys flatfender, Chevy 4.3L engine, high performance computer, everything in picture included, plus a few extras, no axles no tires, This was a project that I never got around to finishing. It is set up for a three link suspension in the front and back, includes rear drive shaft, transfercase and manual transmission, engine runs good. No rust on body or frame. CALL ONLY, If you email – I will assume it is spam. 707-485-1806 asking $1500 or make me your best offer.”
(11/04/2010) There’s work to be done, but the body looks good.
“Willys Jeep with a 231 Buick V6 engine and trans complete with driveshaft to rear end. Much body work done. Needs someone to finish this awesome project.”
