This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I took carburetors off to get it rebuilt and it was lost. Do not have time to redo it…it is a nice project. In July of 2010 Brian found a 1945 MB on eWillys which he purchased. After getting it home and getting some repairs done, he decided that it should go to work for him, so he’s been lending it out for people to use for photos or as a display. So, many of you have probably seen pics of jeeps doing just about everything, but have you ever seen it used to sell books? I thought it was a great idea!
Brian writes, “I’ve actually rented the jeep out already to people for photos and display use – it all helps with the costs. I recently rented it to be on display at a Book Launching (Surviving Your Serengeti by Stefan Swanepoel) attended by over 10,000 people. The year on the hood of this jeep appears to read 1941, but the ad is for a 1942 MB. Probably an oversight, but just saying …
“you will not find a better conditioned willys army jeep than this… all original matching numbers 1942 willys jeep.. this vehicle has never been registered or even driven on a road..it has been professionally restored. its has 72 original miles ….yes just 72 as it just sits around in a climate controlled aircraft hangar and is occassionaly driven on the airfield.. it is in mint condition with no dirt of any kind on it.”

“Veepster” kit car on a 1600 VW engine. Recently replaced transmission. Runs good. Needs timing adjustment and tuneup. Comes with top, windows, doors, and misc pieces. Asking $5,000 obo. Street legal with current license and tags. Hard to find and nice contrast to Manx style dune buggy.”

This is a nice build. I bet this has a Dana 30 or some other updated front end; The wheels appear to stick farther out than normal.
