UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
Dave spotted this cool wagon.
“This is an original barn find. The exterior paint is the original 1948 paint. This vehicle sits on a 1984 Nissan hardbody Truck chassis . Wagon has power brakes, disc brakes, power steering, 1999 Suburban 350 motor with a 2 speed Powerglide tranny, NEW Edelbrock carb, aluminum radiator. Runs very strong.
Has custom woodgrain airbrushed dash & window trims. Original wood slats in the back area. Also has new wide white wall tires with Mooneye disc caps. Cadillac Escalade leather seat. All new windows and rubbers and felts. New after market gauges. Has some rust, the patina is perfect. Needs headliner, window cranks, and few other odds and ends (nothing major).”
Engine needs rebuilt. It looks solid.
“Lots of upgrades. engine needs rebuild. New cluth and rebuilt transmission. call 760-533-9616”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1900.
I have seen militarized CJ-2As, but never surreyized CJ-2As.
“1948 Willys CJ2A
The old “Pink Jeep” has been in the barn for the last 15 years. Converted to 12 volt about 10 years ago and haven’t started it for about 8 years. My son took the top off when he was a teenager and the doors are in the back. One door has a cracked window. I have two old heaters and an extra seat that goes with it. It has two newer back tires. I think some jerk popped off the VIN number plate when my wife had a barn sale a few years ago and I don’t have a title for her which is unfortunate. It was my father’s jeep and he bought it from an old lady who painted it up to look like a jeep on Fantasy Island. I hauled it down from the U.P. where it was used for bird hunting. It ran well and the transfer case is good. It does not leak oil. I put oil mixed with a little kerosene in the cylinders and needs changing. Would make a good project, but never got around to it. We are downsizing. It’s in pretty good shape compared to others I have seen in this price range.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $925.
It is a project, but the body looks pretty good.
“1959 Willys CJ Jeep. Engine is out and partially tore down. I bought this as a project and have no time. Does have a title, but I never titled it.
come and look and see if it is something that interests you. $950.00 or B.O. Email me with questions.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $895.
What I love about this ad is that the jeep is priced at $895 in the title, but then the seller notes he won’t go lower than $800. So, maybe $800 is the price?
“solid w/nice hard top that locks does not run but would w/tlc 800. is the lowest ”
UPDATE: **SOLD* Was $4500.
This looks solid. The seller notes a serial number of #1549.
“1942 Ford Jeep GPW. Classic and fun! Recently rebuilt engine. Body is good and sound. 4 cyl engine runs good. Brass plate intact. Serial #1549 Majority of parts are original. Soft top is not original. ”
It doesn’t run and the body is rough.
“1948 Willy’s Jeep
Last ran in 2007, sitting in storage since.
Was well maintained up to 2007.
Body rough, role bar.
