Doug sent me this a few days ago. I had wanted to post it earlier, but kids, feeding kids, playing games with kids, and putting kids to work, has meant my updates have been a bit sketchy.
So, here’s a tribute to his year’s 4th of July celebrations.
Doug writes, “these flat fenders were all part of a 4th of July parade in a small Northern California cabin community. Far left is a my 48 cj2a, center is a 53 cj3a, right is a nicely resstored 46 vec cj2a with a few updated parts. All are pretty stock and daily drivers in the mountains of Northern California.”
This looks like a good price.
“1946 Willy’s cj2a with rear PTO w/optional hard top and doors. Jeep is in original condition save 12 volt alternator. It is registered and driven regularly. Motor has good compression and runs well though has some smoke on cold start. Has new springs and good brakes. Body has older repairs and tender spots. $2,250 o.b.o. $2,500 w/Koenig hard top and doors. 603-244-8085.”
No engine, but it appears like a solid project rig.
“rolling chassis,no engine,,no rust,,very solid,have title,,georgia vehicle….Rick 218 838 5736”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $300.
There might be some value here.
“1946 willys jeep with title, body is rough, with extra front clip, no windshield, ran for years then parked. I am asking 300.00”
Steve is selling these headers.
He writes, “these are a new set of advanced adapter headers, the way my engine was installed i cant use them, i want 300.00, payed almost 400.00”
UPDATE: Was $3500. **SOLD**
Runs and drives, but has some updates.
“1949 Willy’s CJ-2A 2.5 Chevy 4 cyl., new master cylinder, Warn overdrive, original axles, transmission and transfer case, Saginaw steering conversion, Beard seats, runs and drives, needs carb. overhaul (will take are of for additional cost). Any questions or for more pics”
UPDATE: Price now $2500
(04/08/2011) It’s all original, except for the left front tire . . . And, the electrical system, the front bumper, the grille parking lights, the passenger seat, and on and on . . .
“Very old model Willys.
Original Everything minus the front left tire.
Missing title, information plate, & electrical system.
Engine frame and most of body is solid.
Not much to it. Very bare bones.
Will need work but its an incredibly simple system and parts are available online.
The guy I bought it from hot-wired it and with a rigged up gas tank had it idling.
Willing to part with it for a good price so make your offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
This may be pretty solid.
“1955 Willy Jeep F head original converted to 12 volt system. Runs good”
