Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I bought this off of a car lot a year ago, but, haven’t really done anything with it. My wife won’t ride in it nor let my daughter, so, looking for something else more “Family Friendly”. Guess we just aren’t an old jeep family. I’m not sure the exact year because it was green tagged by the state patrol and assigned a new vin/title. It is titled as a 1978 homemade jeep. This is the way I bought it from Biddle Chevrolet’s used car lot.
It is a 1950-52 M38 Willys military jeep that has been rebuilt/modified over the years. The body is fairly solid with some rust bubbles. It was painted in Imron 15+ years ago. I have a box of receipts dating back to the ’70s. It has an F head 4cylinder with the stock 3 speed and transfer case as well as a Warn overdrive. Everything seems to work. Front seats, steering wheel, tires/wheels look to be new. Not hacked too badly like many jeeps I looked at before buying this one. Top in good shape, jeep just needs a good home and someone who likes to tinker, starter is temperamental (you will be too at 60 years old).
I’d like a quad, should be close to equivalent value (or cash with it) with a title.”

New ring and pinion, 4:88 gears.Frame in good condition Power steering, tilt steering wheel. Professional insalled parts I used adance adapters parts ,also chain operated clutch. Wildwood brake componets. Tires like new Super Swampers 33×12.5×15 Racing seats with two point seat belt harness Relocated and fuel cell in rear, refer to pictures. Needs few electrical repairs, rpm gauge not working or speedometer No wipers, usually lay windshield down.”

” I am selling my 1948 CJ2A Jeep. It has a NEW 4cyc Old Stock engine! This particular engine is still braking in and has under 100 miles on it… I also said that it has approximately 55,000 miles, I am estimating this as I am not sure if the odomitor is correct… this is truly non-significant, but I did want to bring this too your attention… This engine is in PERFECT shape…Body is in great shape and does (as far as I and my mechanic can see) NOT have any major rust issues…I have put a new Electric Fuel Pump, New Battery, New Tires, New Brakes… it has been converted to12 volts with alternator.
Original CJ2A Split Windshield too, nothing seen as reproduction concerning body, windshield, etc… Please see pictures, this one is a super deal, because of it’s shape, and condition…Plus Warn overdrive, Selectro Mechanical Hubs. It drives very well, the transmission does NOT pop out of gear and it does not smoke…
I have added detailed pictures, and if you have any questions please let me know… I looked for a long time to find a NICE CJ2A jeep that could be fixed up and made nice without a lot of trouble or expense, etc. This is one of the nicest ones around and it took me a long time (over 3-4 years to find)… The biggest need is for the seat to be re-upholstered as the cushion and leather is bad… The seat frames are great… If one wants, it could be painted.
Why am I selling? I am starting a “special” medical clinic to help people and our soldiers who have Post Traumatic Stress Disease. I need to purchase more equipment for the clinic. Please know that my work is still based on donation and all my patients who want help, will get help.

“A 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B was part of the factory fire brigade at DE (Douwe Egberts) in Joure, Friesland. Together with its 1935 mobile pump, it wasn’t retired from stand-by duty till 2004! Now in a private collection.”

“I am looking to buy or build a 1952 or 1953 Willys Flat Fender Jeep. To be more specific:
If you have a very solid all original low-mile example that is unmolested / uncut / etc. . .
OR
If you have a restored Jeep, I would like to learn more about it if it was redone by a “Type A” perfectionist, not necessarily a 100% purist though. I am looking for a functional, but show quality driver. Just to save us both the heartache, know that I am very picky and looking for the “right” Jeep if I’m buying someone else’s work. Very minor modifications such as a 12volt conversion or 10″ brakes are OK, but I’m not looking at anything that has an engine and/or trans swap, rock crawler, street rod, etc. . .
OR
If you have a very good foundation Jeep from which to build: This must have a straight/rust-free frame, good solid low-mile running gear, etc. . . but maybe needing a body replacement.
