Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1950s Willys jeep. It’s 6 volt with new battery and tune up it has a superhurrican flat head six motor. Cuts out think it needs a little carb work. 4/4 works great.”

“The jeep has been a project for me and ive never really finished it. it is complete and running. the engine burns oil however.
2 months ago i had the original radiator recored and bought 4 new correct tires. the only unoriginal part on the jeep is the right fender which is a replacement. i have an original fender if wanted. i can provide pictures on request by email. the tub is original and in great shape. Clean Md title.”

“1949 Willys Jeep CJ-3A. 100% restored with original 4cyl motor. Have receipts for all parts and Owners manual. Starts and runs absolutely perfect. Everyone who sees it says, “I want one of those” my reply is who doesn’t? Not many like this around. Only selling because of funds needed for business.”

JUST THOSE ITEMS ARE ALMOST $7,000 IN COST. Again the motor has sat for almost 10 years expect to go through it properly, it is still a project at this point. The front of the frame was extended to accomodate longer springs and a better ride as well as a winch pocket in front of the radiator. Was working on a spring over lift conversion, so minor steering issues need finished prior to driving.
