This brochure includes pictures of the bed extension and the optional vertical doors (I think Andy’s Airport Jeep had these).
Anyone know the history of the bumper? I haven’t seen one with so many numbers.

Description: Garaged for over 20 years, this partially restored 1945 GPW is in great condition and runs very well. The 4 cylinder willys engine is fueled by a new carburetor and last year new timing gear was installed. There are many other new parts installed on this jeep including: an new generator, water pump, fuel filter, fuel pump, water gauge, oil gauge, master cylinder, brake lines and fittings, tie-rod ends at steering system, and new gas tank. The body is original and the sheet metal is in good condition. The front seats are re-covered in vinyl leatherette. The frame has the original serial number stamped on it. All 5 wheels are tires are off road 15 inch diameter tube type tires and rims. Not combat rims. The electrical system wiring (positive ground) is functioning correctly and the dash lights are wired for street use and the black out system is not connected.The glove box door still has the original metal tags with serial numbers.”

This looks more like a CJ-5 than a M-38A1. No shots of the dash to confirm. This might be worth a look.
