VEEP Brochure and Assembly Instructions

• CATEGORIES: Advertising & Brochures, Features, VEEP (VW Jeep), Scamp, Others This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Paul was kind enough to share this very rare Hadley Engineering VEEP brochure in the hopes that it helps the VEEP owners out there who struggle to find information about their vehicle. Below are photos of the basic brochure. I also have assembly instructions that I haven’t scanned yet. Great stuff! One unique item I hadn’t notice before was the stamped ‘VEEP’ in the hood. I’ve never seen that in any production VEEPs. If you ever run across a hood with VEEP stamped in it, I’d be interested to get some photos.

Fagen Fighters WWII Museum

• CATEGORIES: Features, Museums This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Built as a tribute to his father who participated in D-Day invasion of Utah Beach in Normandy, Ron Fagen opened the Fagen Fighters World War II Museum in September of 2012 at his hometown of Granite Falls, MN,  Along with a collection of WWII airplanes, the collection also includes the GPW used by Omar Bradley during the Invasion. I’ve only found this one:

Crosley ‘Pup’ Variant – Photo on eBay

• CATEGORIES: Airborne Lightweight Jeeps, Features, Old Images • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This appears to be a variant of the Crosley Pup (see post from Jan 1). The size, the front end and the wheels look similar. The fenders are rounded. Possibly it is a prototype?

WWII Photo of Jeep on Jerry Cans on eBay

Not sure if perching a jeep on jerry cans was an approved mechanical strategy, but seems to work for these guys. I don’t remember ever seeing that done.

Year? CJ-5 Hunting Project Mirando City, TX on eBay

• CATEGORIES: CJ5 • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

The seller labels this a 1945 Military Jeep M-38. It looks more like a non-military CJ-5. Someone went all out with the deer blind mods! Definitely one-of-a-kind!

“Today we have for sale a Military Willys M38 Jeep that was converted and used as a deer blind for hunting in south Texas.

The engine was removed after an attempt to restore the jeep but it has been left unattended for a long time. Situations in the family changed that won’t allow this to happen.

1946 VEC CJ-2A California eBay

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: , , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This looks great, though I’m a little surprised it wasn’t redone with the column shift. That got me thinking, was it possible to order an early CJ-2A with a floor shift?

It has the original 134cid 4 cylinder engine and T90 3-speed manual transmission with T-18 Spicer transfer case.
