1947 CJ-2A Longview, TX **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600

It’s a project with surface rust at the very least.

I’ve got a barn find 1947 (according to the S/N) Willis CJ-2A that needs a new home. It will need a full restoration or would be great for parts for that CJ you are building now. The 4cyl engine does turn over but will need a full rebuild, the transmission and transfer case are still in the vehicle and appear to work but I’m sure they need new seals and to be cleaned up. You will want to buy a new tub as this one is rusty. The hood, tailgate, front fenders and grill are all usable. I do not have a title, the former owner got it out of Louisiana and could not find the title when I bought it from him.
I have the seats, windshield frame and all the other parts to assemble the Jeep loaded on my trailer but not shown in the pictures below.

This is a project and will need a complete rebuild before it can go anywhere. Take a look at the pictures and see if you are ready to take this project on. If you are reading this, it is still for sale.”

This is an original 1948 Jeep CJ2a with only 136k original miles,….this jeep has not run since 1990 and needs a complete overhaul, the body has rust and repairs and the engine although not frozen hasn’t been started is 25 years…tires are dry rotted but hold air..the jeep is complete, all there including the windshield that the glass is cracked, but the frame is not bent, cracked or broken and has never been repaired…..clear Texas title,”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $350

There’s some value in the rims at the very least.

Willys CJ2A project/parts
The engine is wrapped up in the black plastic to keep water out. Do not know condition. Was pulled when I bought it. Body could probably be salvaged. No front fenders or windshield frame. Nice set of wheels. rear axle that came with it is from a CJ5. Both seat frames are there.”

You won’t find many 1946 Jeeps in great condition like this one! It has been restored and kept inside a garage. I’ve been told by a Jeep expert that it’s a rare find. A JEEP COLLECTOR’S DREAM! Original motor, too…So, don’t miss out on this Jeep, as it’s not often you find one like this. You can see it by appointment and contact me by email. Price is $4200.”

1946 CJ-2A Florence, MS $500

UPDATE: Priced dropped to $500.

(02/12/2014) Not sure just how much value is here.

“I bought a 46 willys and wanted to turn it into a rat rod but I am also a college student and the financials I needed weren’t coming along so time to part with it. It has front and rear original Dana axles with tires. I already grinded off the bolts because I was going to do a frame off restoration and that’s about as far as I got. The axles alone are worth 400 but I can’t do anything with it so first come first serve. Would make a great project for someone.”
