This is a GPW tub, but is missing the glove box?
“This is 1944 Jeep from World War II made by Ford. In the pictures its the one that is green (red one sold long ago) It has the original drivetrain but engine is sold, sorry. Trans is WW2 T84 trans and Ford Transfer case. Axles and steering are original. Windshield, bumperettes and many other parts are present. it’s a project that needs restoration. Transmission case is usable but needs a rebuild. Seats are not original to the jeep. Front frame horns will need repair. have aftermarket parts like bumper, fuel tank sump, hat channels etc that will go with it for free. Have an extra tub for parts. This jeep looks good in pictures but lots of bondo was used by someone. Lots of small misc parts and canvas for seats will go with this. Have bill of sale only. Frame serial number confirmed is 198348. Data plates are missing. Would consider parting it out. Bill of sale from me and previous owner. have not taken the time to get a title. If this add is up then its available.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1100
“Started a CJ-2a project a few years ago and never made much progress. Need to let it go.
The main jeep is:
46 2a rolling chassis. Frame, stock axles with Sears selecto front hubs. Shackles have been replaced, Frame was wire brushed and painted about 5 years ago. Steering Bellcrank bearings replaced (looks like it was upgraded to the bearing version at some time before I got the frame). I’ve also refurbed the steering wheel and epoxy painted it about 3 years ago. Comes with 4 16″ wheels. Since it’s been sitting one rear wheel has locked up. It is a 46 SN 28921, Body tag and frame tag both match SN (body toe number is 19751). The Grille, fenders, and hood were good and go with it. I even have a good set of bullet lights to go with it.
I have lots of other parts to go with it. 3 L134 blocks (one with a chain drive timing gear), rear axle, couple of front axles (one with Warn hubs), 5 transmissions with transfer cases, two windshield frames, two hoods, spare grille, two gas tanks (one unused I believe), two steering shafts, willys truck square heater, one heater that looks like a Harrison, two bullet lights (think one had a cracked lens), 2 15″ rims, new unused fuel pump, lots of spare motor parts, pistons, oil filter, alternator, etc. I do have one body that the previous owner sheathed with metal , and the original body that went with the SN, but is is a nightmare, but the cowl isn’t too bad. The original body is still on the frame with axles under it and tranny/transmission still in it. Has 4″ lift springs under it and I think the rear axle may be an upgraded one. Shape of the diff looks like a D44 but I’m not real sure of that.”
