Hand Built Mini-Jeeps out of Bolivia

Richard Michalsky builds “mini-jeeps” out of his shop in Bolivia. These jeeps are all metal. The first vehicle, an MB look-a-like was completed in 3 years. It is 25% Smaller than the original vehicle and is 2WD, but has made of the same details. It is powered with a 3 Cyl engine from a Kia 1000cc. It weighs around 1250lbs.

This second jeep is a civilian model. It’s styled different, but appears to be built in a way similar to the  MB-like jeep. It too is only 2WD. They look like a kick to drive around.

“1962 JEEP Forward Control 170 4-Wheel Drive Truck
This is a two owner vehicle, with the original owner being the Washington State Forest Service. The custom ordered a snorkel and air brakes when this vehicle was purchased new. It has the original wench in the front bumper along with the original 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission. The engine turns over freely but I have not attempted to get it running. The body shows plenty of wear but is pretty straight for a 1962 work horse. The bed has surface rust but is very solid and not rusted thru anywhere on the bed. The drivers side running board is in the bed of the truck. There is a dent in each front bottom corner of cab as you can see in photos. Other than that it’s just typical wear and tear. scratches bumps and bruises. Continue reading →

That front grill is wrong and the fenders don’t appear original. Still looks to be a good price.

“1953 Jeep CJ3B, 2.6 161L 6 cyl. motor. Jeep runs good, body and frame in excellent condition, steel body. All new wiring, converted to 12V. new alternator, master cyl. & wiring. All new gauges, lights, and turn signals work. 31×10.50 new tires. Also have a new exhaust system, needs put on. Jeep needs very little to finish. No top. Price is Firm, no trades. $3200. Do have title in hand. ”
