“1952 M38 Willys Jeep. Has L134 flathead. Tub is in fair shape, will need floorpan and cowl work. No windshield frame, but I have parts hoods to go with it. Have not started it but the motor turns freely. No title, but has serial number plate. 1500 obo.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $800.
“1949 Willys Jeep CJ3A
This jeep has a complete drivetrain. It would be a good candidate as a base for a restoration. The tub is mostly shot, but the hood, fenders, grille, and windshield are in good shape. The hood and windshield are stamped with Willys script, which you won’t find on repro pieces.
The drivetrain is standard for the model year:
134cid I4 L head
T90 3 speed transmission
Dana 18 transfer case
Dana 44 offset rear axle
Dana 27 front axle
Selectro front hubs
The engine turns freely. The spark plugs are still in the block. The radiator is original, but I do not know what condition it is in. The jeep has had a spring over conversion, but the springs and hangers are factory. The frame is straight and not rusted through.
This jeep would be an excellent candidate to start a restoration. All the major drivetrain components are in place. No title.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
Not perfect, but runs and drives.
“I have a 1953 Willy’s Overland wagon for sale. This is a very cool 4×4 for anyone who really loves the classics and wants a vehicle of this caliber and vintage. The engine runs great. It is a V-6 and doesn’t smoke or burn oil. Body is pretty solid, minus some rust on rear fender wells, but for 62 years old, its pretty nice. The interior seats are in great shape with no tears. The dash is all original and all the gauges work. All the wood on the floor is original and in great shape. So here it is, its a beauty of a Willy, does need some (tlc) from the person who wants to restore it. It needs a headliner, but all the hardware for the headliner is there. This is a wonderful collectors Willy’s Overland Wagon. ”
On the CJ2Apage Facebook site Neil shared a couple jeep photos from the College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri. The first is a 1957 FC-150 inside the Tractor Museum.
This photo came from this site: https://cozybegone.wordpress.com/2014/09/04/off-the-beaten-highway-in-branson-missouri/
There’s also a GPW in the Ralph Foster Museum. In the photos below, the same jeep is shown in two different locations. So, I’m not exactly sure where it is currently located.

5th Annual Willys At Whitewater Ranch July 18th, 2015
I can’t believe this is the 5th year of the event but here we go!
Once a year we open Whitewater Ranch for a weekend of Willys fun. The main event starts about 10:30am on Saturday July 18th. We meet at the Whitewater Ranch barn for some Willys talk and catching up. About 12:00 I will fire up the BBQ and serve lunch. After lunch we will go for a drive through the forest and use the Willys as they were intended to be used. We can then go over to the house, have a frosty one, and relax before we have dinner along the beautiful McKenzie River.
For those of you who arrive early, we have a casual BBQ Friday night and you are welcome to stay through Sunday morning.
In the past many guests have enjoyed camping at Whitewater Ranch. If you would like something a little more comfortable I can recommend the Wayfarer Resort which is both spouse and dog friendly. Here is the link but book early as they are a popular resort, http://www.wayfarerresort.com/. As you can see, if you arrive Friday and leave Sunday you can create a great Willys weekend.
I hope you guys can make it! Please RSVP to me by email or call, 415-516-4778
See you at the ranch!
Sincerely,
Jim Russell
