Original flat head 4cyl. 6 volt system.
New battery, belt, gas cap ect.
He has had it for over 30 yrs. Runs and drives. Pops out of 2nd gear sometimes, but always starts and goes. Not very pretty. I know very little about these but Im amazed at how good it works.
He gave me a custom trailer that it fits on. I had planned on keeping it, but may consider selling.
May consider trades. Vehicles, fishing boat, trailer, dirt bike, quad, buggy. What do you have?”

“1946 Willys cj2a, 231 v6, some rust, but hey, this thing is 70 years old.
Put the whole new brake system in a few years ago, engine runs strong, no major mechanical.
No top but there is a frame for a soft top. Asking 4000 dollars.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would put it at a 6.5.
Text only please, no low ballers, I am NOT in any hurry to sell.”

(06/24/2014) The flattie runs, but the CJ-5 does not.
“ have two Jeep Willy’s
No titles for either one.
One is missing part of the body but runs and drives (1951 M38).
Second Willy (1955 CJ-5) did run when parked about 10 years ago. Engine is free not frozen and has full body.
I was going to restore both but no longer have the time and wish to sell them.
I am told that the running Willy is a 1951 M38. The engine has been rebuilt runs good. Brakes all restored and is drivable.
Asking $3500 for both.
Serious buyers only please,”
Tim Ghianni published a story about Emmett Automotive of Nashville that included a couple photos of the owner’s CJ-2A. He routinely has it parked where people can check it out.
