“Hi, I am selling a 1948 Willys Jeep CJ3A in good condition. It has no rust throughs, the drivetrain works as it should, and everything works. It shows 51,XXX miles on the odometer, and yes both the odometer and speedometer work so I believe it is the original mileage. This Willys was inspected by a good mechanic who works on CJ2A and CJ3A machines and he thought the frame was good and overall one of the nicest unrestored models he has ever seen.
This is a great Sunday drive / cabin / hunting / off road machine for less than the cost of a new Rhino or ATV and still has some character! All parts are available for these machines, and because they are not-so-complicated you can do most everything yourself. Use this one “as is” for a long time, or restore to parade condition without too much trouble. Look at the value of fully restored Willys and expect to see $15,000-$25,000 price tags.
This Willys has spent most of its life on a Montana ranch, so no salt and thus no rust. The last 12 years or so it has been in northern Minnesota cabin Lake country. It can be seen by appointment near Fortune Bay Casino on Lake Vermilion. Note that I do have a dual axle car hauler trailer and also willing to sell it. For $10,000 tow the Willys and the trailer home behind your truck. Or, delivery by the seller is possible. Will consider a barter deal
This is the nicest Willys of its kind that I have seen within 500 miles of Minneapolis in the last several years, thanks for looking and please do drop an e-mail if interested and we will talk very soon. ”
This 3B is dog approved.
