About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: Charles noted that these three me were pilots, not paratroopers.
Jim alerted me to this mural in Sanford, North Carolina. The city of Sanford has been adding murals to downtown that preserve local history. One in particular is a glider with a jeep emerging from it that honors three of the town’s glider pilots, according to this article.
“1946-1948 TWA management rode around Africa and SW Asia in a former B17G (probably Captain Bob Buck was in command !) the picture was taken on the flight line in Heliopolis near Cairo”
This look like a great post-1955 equipment book. Auction ends Saturday morning.
“This is a dealer sales book packed with information regarding the CJ-3B, CJ-5, 1 ton Truck, Station Wagon, Willys Fire Truck, Willys Ambulance, Jeep Fire Engine and a very complete list of all of the attachments and accessories available from the Jeep dealer at the time from A frames to welders. There is a sales brochure included for each item which describes the items in great detail as well as some of the installation times. This is an original surviving book from the early 1950’s, not a reprinted copy”
Seller has never washed it. Great old converted fire department jeep.
“Hi, up for auction is my 1952 M38A1 Willys. The Willys has seen a very colorful life, starting with its tour of duty during the Korean War era to its rebirth as a rim fire Willys Jeep, putting out rim fires along the Northern Sierras in the Tahoe National Forest. Bumps and bruises tell the story of the life of this non-stop built to do service, Willys. All of the Military accessories are still on the Willys and intact.
I’ve owned this Willys for several years and have had a blast driving the Willys on and off road, mostly off road. The Willys has never let me down. Fresh tuneup, fresh rebuilt carb, This Willys is turn key and ready to go. I’ve never washed it, the Willys has earned the dirt and grime that this workhorse wears! Below is a bit of history in regards to the legacy of the Willys M38A1….Enjoy!”
“1948 CJ2a, Ford 302 engine, c4 auto transmission, Warn overdrive,Positrac rear,4:10 gear ratio, Chevy tilt steering and box,Rancho springs. Aluminum radiator, two gas tanks. Many receipts of work done by Etreme4wd.Dependable, runs great!”
It doesn’t have a fan for the radiator? Maybe the seller miswrote?
“1949 Willys wagon first year of 4×4. Has Super Hurricane Flat 6 engine over drive winch is a warn 8000 older restoration small spot of rust in r/h rear fender area good driver or project will heat up on longer drive have a fan for radiator not installed may just need work on shroud extra engine as well also other parts and tools. Good headliner.
“Great old classic Willys cab over FC170 Forward Control for sale. These old trucks are getting extremely hard to find in any condition, let alone with all the body panels, bed, and tailgate. This one was pretty well taken care and has you can see from the pics, still has a lot of potential to restore into a nice old rig.
The body is better than most of them you will find. Sheet metal is fairly straight with exception of drivers door. The bed sides are pretty solid and the bed floor only has minor rot, not shot like most of them. The floors have been patched but the seat pans are mostly solid with a few holes but hold my 240lb rear just fine. The windshield surround only has surface rust and not rotted out like most.
“This is a very nice, really well kept, maintained, cared for original and authentic Willys WWII Military MB Jeep. As you can see by the pictures, it is really nice. Tires are very good!!! The paint is all good, and believed that at least the hood is of ORIGINAL paint…….interior is good. DOES COME WITH CANVAS TOP IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AS WELL!!! Rare find. The only modification that we can tell is that it has been converted to a 12 volt system, with key ignition. Other than that…………very original! Great vehicle for parades, nostalgia, etc…………$22,400/offer”
Could be a good price based on the description. No pics provided.
