Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Andy’s got this rare CJ-2A with factory installed on an MB frame. More information in the ad.
“NICE AND very RARE, 46′ cj-2a column shift Willys jeep serial #293xx. Nice overall condition, has been in barn storage for over 20 years.
What makes this unit more desirable is the fact that it is FACTORY built on a MB military chassis. Only a few hundred were built this way starting around serial number #29000.
Documented by a well known jeep expert, this is one of the batch of those hybrid jeeps. It is surmised that there was either a shortage of cj chassis or a bunch of leftover Military frames that needed to be used up…..not more then a handful surviving.!
Whatever the reason, this is not a homemade conversion….there are about 22 modifications done to the MB frame to make it useable for the cj2a. All brackets and mounts are custom made and factory installed. Even the machine gun mount was trimmed to fit the body.

Dana 30 front 4:88 gears with a limited slip, not sure of the brand but it works better than any limited slip I have had.
