This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: The magazine Guion from Uruguay published a one-page article about the jeep, along with the cover page (shown at the bottom). My Spanish isn’t so good, so I have to guess, based on the photos, that the article discusses the problems caused by groups of young women in bikinis roving the beaches of Uruguay. Oh, what terrible problem that would be!?!?

Scott spotted this jeep in what looks to be an older Peanuts cartoon by Charles M Schulz. If you are in the Santa Rosa, California, area, be sure to drop by the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Pretty neat!

“I have a 1949 Willys Jeep 33,192 original miles. Has a newer soft top that can be folded back. Good solid Jeep. Yellow in color. No rust holes some normal wear. But was used just to plow a driveway way up north. I did put a new master cylinder on it so it has breaks. But these weren’t made to stop on a dime.
Does need a new battery but with a charge fires right up and runs very good. I’m sure the seats have been redone as they are like new but who knows as the mileage shows it never went very far. And it does have the original plow on it. High and low range work good and 2 and 4 wheel drive works good.
