Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This includes an overdrive. It has a custom dash with the glove box in the middle and the gauges over the steering wheel.

(05/12/2016) Appears worth a look.
“1952 Willys M38 Serial number 58632 Dated 3/52. This jeep has not been restored. Was used for parades by the previous owner. This is a great jeep for parades or for reenactments. Runs, Drives, and Stops. Engine runs smooth. Has been converted to 12 volts with electric fuel pump. A new master cylinder has been installed, along with new brake lines and hoses. Body is straight. There was rust in the front floors that was patched. Rear floor and hat channels are solid with no rust through. Has beechwood canvas top and seat cushion covers. Headlights, taillights and brake light work. Windshield has a large crack. Since it has an electric fuel pump. Vacuum wiper does not work. This can easily be replaced with an electric wiper motor. The spare tire carrier is not the original. Most of the wiring has been redone. The original cloth covered wire is still there but in bad shape. Lights are not going through the master 3 lever switch. Passenger side step is missing.”

“I have a 1944 cj2a for sale. This was a project that got started but no time to finish it. This comes with extra fenders, extra axles, extra transmission, extra tcase, etc… The hood and windshield frame are there as well as the seats. The engine has been sent to the machine shop already. There is no title but there is a place back east that will send you a new title with the body plate”

It’s a project.
“ve had this willys for 4-5 years, and Ive been building it dreadfully slow. The time has come to pass it to the next guy. Im only selling the body, Title and frame but may possibly sell as a roller. The frame alone cost me $3000 to build, Its a Throttle Down Kustoms frame built out of 3/16th square tubing and mandrel bent. The body needs the final welding done to it to finish it off. I Rebuilt it from the Cowl back with new body panels. Im into the body about $2500. Will include a ton of builders parts Ive accumulated over the years. The frame hasn’t been modified in anyway so its ready for your LS1, 350 Small block, or Any other engine you can make fit. Setup for toyota axles but you could put Narrowtrac Dana 44’s from a wagoneer easily enough. Clear Colorado Title in My Name. Price drop Will take $2000 OR Trade for Subaru AWD cars”
