Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (02/24/2016) May be a CJ-2A with CJ-3B body parts. The grille is definitely a hybrid.
“46 JEEP WILLYS CJ2a Modified. Now a High Hood to fit the 365hp. 327 with a Muncie 4speed. New parts: clutch, Master cylinder, Slave cylinder, brakes (all 4) Gauges, Fuse panels (now a 12 volt system). Brand new best top tiger top, fresh paint. Tilt\ telescope steering colum, bucket seats and rear seat, heater (works great)new battery. Looks great and SUPER fun to drive. text, call or email”

St. Marys High School in Eugene, Oregon, purchased this jeep, christened the Galloping Gael, as part of the war effort. The name is memorable enough that maybe someone has seen an old photo of a jeep with the name on it? The article came from the March 28, 1944, issue of the Eugene Register-Guard.
