Is it me or does that battery look giant in that engine bay.
I agree. That does look a bit on the X-Large size!
The curve of the body flange (above the fuel filler but on both sides) has an angular bump where it flows into the horizontal flange.
That is odd. The areas where the sides meet the dash also have some kind of addition (thin plate?).
I wonder if someone added a layer of metal over the original body sides. Look at the photos of the gas filler area … the flanges are missing from the filler neck recess and the arch of the recess is different.
Possibly, but if they skinned it, which it looks like they did pretty well, why leave those obvious flaws? Inquiring minds what to know!
