This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Old Jeep, 1950 chasse 1953 body, Motor is a Toyota 20R, has about 3,000 miles on rebuilt transmission and transfer case 3 speed. Clutch, flywheel, clutchplate, and throw out bearing replaced less than 300 miles ago. I bought the Jeep in 2004 and now my children are grown and I no longer use it. Runs great!”

Project or parts.
“Bought this in May of 2018 from a fellow in Albuquerque New Mexico, had it shipped back to upstate NY. Plans have changed. 4 brand new Tread Wright 215/85/16 tires, new clutch, new Novak hydraulic clutch assembly, new Wagner master cylinder and clutch cylinder too, 1975-77 Buick V6 with HEI, tub is decent for its age, very nice 6 point roll cage, just bought a Rebel Wiring 9+3 harness, block is mounted and I am in the process of running wires, Bill of Sale from former owner. The vehicle appears to have been built in the late 1990s. This is still a project
Cons:
Will need all new fuel system.
Brake system needs to be gone through also.
Needs work to make run again.”

(12/06/2018) Has some updates. Not many of them, but could well be a ’66.
“66 Kaiser Jeep. Frame off restoration. Boxed in frame, lifted, new 31″ tires and wheels, custom fabricated roll cage flanged and welded to frame, 12 volt wench adaptable to front or back, tow bar, custom built bumpers, spare tire rack and nerf bars, 1,350 miles since rebuild.”

Does not run, however I believe the timing chain has jumped a tooth and have had the time to change it.”

ModMike shared this odd video on Facebook that includes a CJ-2A. I finally tracked down a Youtube version. Can anyone explain it?
