2 1964 M-676s Cannon Falls, MN **Still for Sale**

• CATEGORIES: FC150-FC170-M677 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: eBay winner did not make payment, so these are still available. If interested, contact Kevin at  … im1jeepguy @ gmail.com

These are even harder to find than the M-677s.

“Up for auction are Two EXTREMELY RARE original Kaiser JEEP M-676s (Military version of the Jeep FC-170) built only one year for the Marine Corp and delivered in 1964. These are becoming harder and harder to find because only about 65 were estimated to have been built.

The first M676 ( Red ) Is a complete survivor and mostly original except for being painted red many year ago ,the red is starting to peel off which exposes the original Marine Corp olive drab green under the red. It also has the military wooden bench seats in the back of the bed, the wood will need to be replaced.  The Cerlist diesel engine is stuck causing the vehicle to be in a non-running condition at this time I do not know any history of it. It will need the cab corners and wiring repaired or replaced also has side windows cracked, there are only one set of front seats frames available and will need be reupholstered.  As any restoration project goes it takes time to complete.  It comes with a clear title and military tags. I do not have the time or resources to finish this rare and really cool piece of Marine Corp History.

The Second M676 (Brown) is the parts truck which is only has the cab, frame, front and rear differentials.  The cab and doors are in really great shape, unfortunately the back of the cab was cut and the windshield is smashed, and it is also missing the Cerlist engine and transmission/transfer case and other parts. It does not have a title or military tags since it is the parts truck.”

“$1,100 OBO!!! This is what know about this cool little Jeep. It has the flathead 4 cylinder engine in it still. It will turn over with battery or by hand, but I have never tried to get it started. Come with spare tire, extra hood, and a new tailgate. I got this as a little project and never really got around to it. Now my wife and I are have our first baby. So just need to sell it. I’m asking what I’m into it, minus some time and money from driving back from Colorado to pick it up. Call or text with any questions.”

The perfect spring weather here in Pasco meant Ann wanted to tackle the yard, which, being the supportive husband I am, means I too spent time in the yard. Then, when evening arrived, there was the final Games of Thrones to watch (yeah, we got hooked on that).

I’m hoping by Tuesday morning to have a post about the Willys Make Sense campaign. I’ve documented fourteen different ads used in 1950 and 1951, plus a variety of other documents that demonstrated how Willys-Overland attempted to change their branding and image both with consumers and with dealers.

Below: Ann built this manifold for distributing water for all her plants. I’m adding some finish work to the post upon which the manifold will hang.

We brought in 2+ yards of gravel. Half of the gravel has been distributed around the pond.

2019-05-18-backyard-gravel2

The other half will go along the beds next to the fence. 2019-05-18-backyard-gravel1
