Selling a 1957 FC170 (clear NJ title) that I’ve fully built out over the last year. I’ve done an insane amount of work to the truck to get it to be an awesome driver. Will go down the highway at 65 with zero problems. Everyone will stop you to chat. Everyone will pull out their phones to take a picture. Everyone will want a ride. Only have 500 miles on it since the full build. If you want to pretty it all up, feel free – I like the rat-jeep look, but it’s different for everyone. Overall, in very good condition with way less rust than most FCs. All glass is good except driver door window has a crack (that window is always down waving back to the excited wrangler drivers anyway). Asking 22K OBO.
Modifications include:
– Small Block Chevy (making 400hp)
– Turbo 400 transmission
– Dana 70 in the rear
– Custom leaf springs from Alcan
– Completely new fuel system (tank, electric pump, carb, lines)
– Complete new cooling system to handle the SBC
– Transmission cooler
– Conversion to dual master brake cylinder
– All new brake lines
– Conversion to front disk brakes
– Conversion to power steering
– All new steering column for more comfortable positioning
– Steering damper in front to smooth out the ride
– 100% new wiring throughout
– LED brake lights
– Full array of Autometer Gauges including GPS speedometer
– All new 2.5” dual exhaust system with crossover and Flowmaster Super 70s.
Please feel free to ask any questions and I’ll be happy to get right back to you! This is an amazing jeep and the buyer will be thrilled with their new toy. If you’re in NJ and buying the jeep, you should be able to keep the amazing custom plates – these are this jeep’s actual license plates.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900.

Brandon bought this cool, vintage jeep club patch from the late 1960s/early 1970s at an estate sale. I can’t remember ever seeing the club logo before, but the group is documented in the PNW4WDA Region One roster booklet from 1972.
As the image suggests, the Boondockers was a club based out of the south Puget Sound area of Washington, mostly Auburn. As of 1972 the club had 11 members, most of whom had CJ-5s.
UPDATE: Sold Was $9500.
Looks like a classic 80s build.
