I can’t remember how I obtained this photo of a Dutch jeep book cover, but I see no evidence that I ever posted it (found it on my old computer). So, here it is. The publishing date appears to be 1949.

UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $7500.
Appears worth a look.
“This is an original Jeep with original paint. It’s in excellent condition. Though it has been sitting in my yard for months, it starts right up and runs great. This Jeep has new tires, exhaust, seats, as well as many other new parts and was very well taken care of by the previous owner.
I shipped this one across the country from SC…It was that nice!
This jeep has a heater, half canvas top with rear curtain, many new parts. Has original PTO, serial number indicates (GB) which is a farm jeep designation. Very rare only a few thousand of them made.
Low original mileage this jeep has not seen much work. It was used primarily as a toy.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $4900.
This looks in very good shape for the price.

“Mostly original 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. This jeep has been in my family for over 50 years. Most of those years were spent on our family farm in Southwest Nebraska. Comes with 2 (like new) Bestop Soft Tops, all 5 of the original wheels (not pictured) and the original owners manual. Has original 6 volt system. Runs well and would be an ideal project jeep for someone that has the time to put into it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
The passenger step has been reworked.
“1948 Willy’s JEEP CJ2A just in time for hunting season, this jeep is in good condition with many new parts including:
new carburetor
new fuel tank
new sending unit
new gauges
new tires
new water pump
rebuilt radiator
new hoses
updated wiring harness
The new carb and tank are installed and just need to be plumbed up, a few odds and ends need addressing with most all parts needed are included with the sale. The JEEP will be conveyed with a bill of sale, however the VIN plate is still present (rare for old JEEPS) so you can apply for a bonded title which cost $350 and some paperwork. The JEEP is priced right and with a little work could easily be worth twice as much.”
Has full floaters and an early head, but I don’t see other aspects of a VEC here. It may be an early 2A with a newer body.
