This November 04, 1948, article out of the Saline Observer, discussed a local agriculture demonstration and noted how jeeps were some of the stars of the show.

There’s a tag suggesting this was a reconditioned jeep at some point. It’s likely a mix of GPW and MB parts, along with some civilian/other parts (such as the rims, seats, bumper).

“1946 Willys CJ2a that is not all original. I do not have a top or doors. 350 small block Chevy with 2 barrel Rochester carbureator, Spicer 18 transfer case, T90 3 speed manual transmission, Dana 25 front axle, Dana 41 rear axle, and both axles are open with 5.38 gear ration. Brakes were upgraded some time in the past to the 68 Wagoneer drum system. New fuel tank and sending unit under the driver’s seat.
No power train.
