“Going to have to sell my 170. I just bought this day after Christmas. Have done some improvements to the truck. My wife pulled a muscle in her shoulder getting in the cab. So she won’t be riding in it no more. I’ve put around 1700 miles on the truck since I bought it. Runs and drives great. Gets around 12-14 mpg. $12,500 firm located in Romney WV 26757”
This June 04, 1955, article about the Rolligon goes into great depth about the history of the invention. You can see more pics here. The pages below are much clearer once you click on them.

“DESCRIPTION:…Original magazine ad from 1954 which features the Willys Truck and Jeep. Two farms were highlighted in the ad–one shows a farmer by the name of W. G. Watt of Murrayville, IL.–the other one shows a Mr. Herbert Edwards of Cedar Brook Farms in Prospect, KY…..Nice condition except for some light tan age toning caused by type of paper used nearly 60 years ago. About 8 x 11″ in size”
Here’s an unusual bit of marketing.

“Has some soiling, the middle portion has two weights under the yellow part to hold it down. I believe these were used on fenders in show rooms or shops but I’m not very sure. Made of cloth, measures 58”x14.5””
Seller is asking $115 for this unusual jeep made of wood and metal. It’s missing the driver’s side fender. Appears delicate.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
(02/27/2020) Looks like a good price.
“I have a 1946 Willys CJ2A with a mild lift, 33” tires, full roll cage, and a ford 302 engine. I just went through the engine with my boys as a “teaching experience”. We put ported heads, new Summit torquer cam (0-5000), new lifters, new timing chain/gears, roller rockers, valve covers, and a new Edelbrock carburetor. The bottom end is bored .40 over with flat top pistons etc etc etc. What we learned is that a CJ2A can pop wheelies!!
That was not the lesson I was trying to teach my 13 and 15 year old so the “death trap” needs to go to someone with a more developed frontal lobe than my boys. I just put new front brakes (11″ drums) on it including rubber lines, slaves, and pads. It has the original 3 speed trans which pops out of 2nd when coasting sometimes. I do have some new polaris seats that go with the jeep. I also have a soft top that looks good but I have never put it on. There is a new aluminum radiator, fan, dual chamber brake master, etc etc etc.
It is a lot of Jeep for the money but someone needs to bleed the rear brakes, and tinker with it a bit. I have it set so only the primaries open on the carb. Adjust them at your own risk. The engine idles perfectly smoothe but has a ton of power for a jeep this size. $4500 obo Body is very straight but has some paint peeling on the hood. Very little rust or corrosion.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9800.
