UPDATE III: **SOLD** Was $1552.
UPDATE II: The header has been corrected. It’s actually a GPW. I’ve also added some additional pics:
UPDATE: It appears this may be a USMC-modified based on the Holden design, rather than an actual Holden. This may explain why Frank isn’t seeing details he’s expecting to see (see comments)?
A person I trust has checked this out and confirms it’s a USMC Holden. But, it’s rough, too.
“42 MB prior marine ambulance. Open to offers. Have extra parts and pieces available. In Redding Ca. On a non op also have a rolling CJ 2a with no engine but have plenty of trans and transfer cases. Would like to make a deal on all of it I have.”
A big thanks to Barney Goodwin (of Barneys Jeep Parts) for sending me this early edition of the Kaiser Willys News. This is issue #3. A couple interesting things about this issue. Perhaps the biggest curiosity is that there isn’t much related to jeeps in this issue, confirming that even by early 1954 there was still a lot of integration still going on. Issue #2, seen in the post below, also didn’t have much information related to jeeps. Volume 4 of the newspaper, which appeared in May (and can be seen below the #2 issue), had a few more jeep specific references.
Not sure about the price, but a fun idea.

“Cleaning house and like to sale these two items. Fiberglass body $300 with fenders. I do not want to ship but maybe we can work out a deal.”
The cab will come off the body or they can have that too. $250 for the cab.
Could be worth a look.

“Working good cj3b 4 cylinder hurricane engine, 3 speed transmission, also I have the soft top and doors and clean title”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
The engine is from Kaiser-Frazer, so isn’t original to the jeep. I believe the disassembled photos are the latest ones.
“”46″ Jeep CJ2A , 1st year available to for civilian purchase. All original parts to re- assemble. Was going to do a frame off restoration but am going a different way. Comes with a top, doors, and plow. Has the original supersonic 4 cylinder motor. Currently sitting in my garage out of the weather. Would be a good restoration or an opportunity to add an SMC motor to make an off road vehicle. Do not have a title so I would supply a bill of sale to acquire one.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $525.
Seller believes this was a CJ-5 hardtop at one point, but I don’t see any mods that would indicate that.
“I have a Willy’s jeep hardtop for sale. The top bolts to any flat fender jeep with a MB/GPW windshield frame. (Excluding CJ 3B) The top started off as a early aluminum CJ5 top. it has been highly modified to fit the early Jeeps.”
