“I have a 67 here with the odd fire v6 that runs. The frame is pretty good, i didn’t find soft spots in it but it got lots of surface rust. The rear springs are wrong, 2 owners ago got fronts and stuffed them in the rear all wrong. I have had the vin verification done and it is registered in NH. I dont have the title. The brakes are bad and the body is a bit rough. It shifts well. I havent had the engine fired in a while because the battery cables are junk but if you’re serious about it we can get it to fire up I’m sure. It eill have good usable tires on it. Make me a good offer and come get it.”

This vehicle has no markings, no VIN number or other indicators where it was made or how long ago. Please contact me for further details. Jeepneys are a popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are well known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating. They have also become a symbol of Philippine culture.”

A color slide from 1941? That’s a rarity.

Subject: U.S. Army MP Willys Jeep at Camp Sibert (or Siebert) in Boulder City, NV.
Date: Oct. 1941
Mount/Film Type: Kodachrome, red border
The scan below has not captured all detail, but shows the relative sharpness of the slide. The green text reading “embitt scan” was superimposed after scanning.”
This ad just expired on eBay and will likely be reposted at some point. It’s a Willys Export Company magazine ad, but unclear to me who the audience was. If this were a Canadian ad I imagine it would be tagged with a Kaiser Willys of Canada moniker, so it’s unclear to me what magazine this might have been.

This is a good ad for the Structo Ride-on Fire Jeep. It appeared in the September 1961 issue of Playthings magazine.
