Jeeping at Copper Creek in the Snow

Last week Troy and some friends were jeeping in the snow at Copper Creek in Washington State. They were kind of looking for Christmas trees, but it was more about playing. Looks like a fun time.

Looking for DJ-3A Fastback Style Top Measurements

• CATEGORIES: DJ-3A, Features • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE II: Charles spotted the 2010 post below that shows a DJ-3A auctioned on eBay from Massachusetts. Anyone recognize it or know the previous or current owner?

====================

UPDATE: Bill tells me they are also looking for pictures of any surviving examples of tops and the bows themselves. The bows are the most important item they need to duplicate. The top is something we can construct but without a correct set of bows we won’t be on the mark.

Bill and Charles are seeking the measurements for the DJ-3A Fastback Style Top like the one shown below. There’s currently a thread about it here http://z4.invisionfree.com/CJ3B_Bulletin_Board/index.php?showtopic=5356, but so far no one has had any luck finding them.

As I look at these two pictures, it appears to me that top folded up like a Jeepster top. I’ve never noticed that before. I’ve never run across one of these tops in the real world, only in brochures or press photos.

I have a low mileage 5.0L Chevy V8 sitting in my garage with almost everything needed to make it a beastly torque monster to include brand new cam, lifters, push-rods, roller rockers, timing gears and chain. I have 2 sets of heads for this engine 1 for TBI, and 1 for Carb. $4,000. for all this is a good deal. needs battery but vehicle runs smooth. original t-90 transmission and spicer 18 transfer case. body needs some love but this is a great little off roader. currently sitting on 32″ tires. has working wench as well.”

1962 M-170 Butte, MT **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: M-170 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed at $1100.

“I have for sale my 1962 Willys Jeep m170 ambulance. It is basically like a military Willys m38a1 except it has a longer wheelbase. Being military it has the dana 44 axles and heavier duty leaf springs. It currently does not run as it needs the wiring harness reattached. It ran and drove great 3 summers ago before I ended up parking it and and pulling the harness for another vehicle. The harness is there, it just needs hooked back up. It is a universal harness I ordered because the original wiring was a mess. It has no top. I have the original harness and a few extra manuals and parts to go with it also.”
