DJ-5 owners . . . take heart! Who says a mail jeep isn’t fast? This modified — ok highly modified — DJ-5 won the 2012 Organizer’s Choice Trophy at the 2012 24 Hours of LeMons Thunderhill in California.
The December 1949 issue of Popular Science highlighted this unique attachment for the jeep. You can view this article on Google books.
This appears in good shape.
“Original owner, very low miles on this jeep. I never played with this toy because it was pink, now I wish that I had saved the box. I am asking $35 or best offer.”

“Available is an awesome Willys Wagon ready for Spring cruising! This has been restored recently. A lot of time and money has been spent on the Willys for YOU to enjoy! It is in a nice driver condition. It has been in Tennessee over the last 30 years. The original engine and transmission were swapped for a Chevy 250ci 6 cylinder and automatic transmission. They are reliable, and it also has dual exhaust. It has new front and rear glass with rubber, the side glass has been tinted. It has nice moon caps and trim rings on color coded steel wheels. The heater works, as does the A/C (cowl vent)! It has a late model speedo that works, after market gauges and a CD player with box speakers in the rear.”
